Exactly what I was looking for
I have a mini arcade in my loft and recently bought an Atgames Legends unit that, in addition to playing hundreds of classic arcade games, has 22 licensed Gottlieb digital pinball tables. I'd never even heard of digital pinball until recently but thought it was so cool. But playing a pinball table on landscape mode with the full table going up the middle of the screen and black bars on the sides was not appealing. I already had my TV on a stand but started looking for a mount that would rotate horizontal to vertical that I could attach to the current back plate of my TV stand. I found this and it works perfectly! It was very easy to attach, the mounting plate of this mount was the same exact size as the mount plate for my TV stand and holes lined up perfectly for the screws to secure it. Now when I want to play pinball I can rotate and get the full table. I can even play arcade games vertically if I choose (as shown with centipede).

Works great but...
Used for my 50" Frame TV. Easy to install - BUT it does not lock in place perfectly level. There is enough play in the rotation to cause the TV to sit a little off. I was able to unlock the mount and turn it just a tiny bit and it stays perfectly level. There is enough friction that it doesn't move at all, even though it isn't technically locked in the landscape orientation.

Works very well!
Easy to install with a variety of hardware as to fit most tv’s.Just a slight turn to release pressure on the stop allows you to pull the locking mechanism very easily.Very sturdy when mounted.Excellent purchase.

Love it. Just what I needed.
Exactly what I was looking for. The mounting was easy and straightforward. The TV stays it the selected position because of its locking mechanism, which is fantastic. The only issue I had with this is the screw; the quality of the screw is cheap as the screw head began to strip midway through installation. Luckily I was able to remove it and replace it with another good quality screw instead.

As advertised
I purchased the product to create artistic video. This mount was easy to install and easy to hang. I purchased it to do landscape, portrait and other angles in between, it did landscape and portrait ok but the other angles not at all. So disappointed with that.

Not able to balance heavy TVs
While the quality of the parts for this bracket seem to be quite high, this bracket seems to expect the TV to be perfectly balanced for you to rotate it from landscape to portrait mode, which most TVs are not. Actually mounting the TV was pretty easy, but be aware that since this is basically a ball-joint style mount, you will need to be very precise with your mounting measurements because there is zero adjustments you can make once the TV is on the wall.Once we got the TV up and rotated, the mount would "click" into place, but because of the speakers at the "bottom" of the TV creating a weight imbalance, the TV would then do about a 20 degree turn and leave it looking crooked. Granted, this is a LARGE TV (86") but it is twenty pounds less than the stated weight for this bracket, but it can't handle the imbalance. This may be fine for smaller TVs with a much lower weight but it's not as advertised. The latch system is "inside" the mount meaning if I wanted to try and tweak it or find a way to wedge something I would have needed to break the mount to get into it, and then I wouldn't be able to return it.If I was just mounting the TV in landscape mode it was fine, but if that's all I was doing I'd buy a standard tilting mount instead. Ended up tracking down a different mount that was designed specifically for portrait-mode mounting with tilting options. Love the concept of this bracket, but unfortunately it's not ready for prime time.

Worked for tight space!
I have an older curved tv that still works great, and I wasn't ready to part ways with it after a primary tv upgrade. I really didn't have an unoccupied space to still use it, as the bedrooms already have tv's mounted, and there's too much other crap in the way everywhere else etc. I ordered this mount and it allowed me to hang this tv vertically in my office on the only available wall space. This allows me to put the computer in portrait mode and use it as an additional monitor. It took longer than it should have to install, as I wasn't lucky enough to have a stud where I needed it. After drilling the holes, the drywall anchors included with the mounting kit just spun around and pushed completely through the sheetrock when I tightened the lag screws. I ended up using toggle bolts that I had on hand to finish securing the mount. No further problems as it handled the 70 lb. tv weight just fine, and everything else about the mount is fairly straight forward. This will always remain oriented vertically, so I cant comment on how well it works when you switch back and forth between vertical and horizontal. Would have been 5 stars if not for the cheap drywall anchors.
