Excellent motion sensor. Easy set up.
These work very well. They are excellent. Set up is easy as can be. You must have the Eufy hub for the audible alarm. The coverage are is more than sufficient. It does not pick up on small animals.

Good quality
The eufy Security Motion Sensor has been a fantastic addition to my home security setup. From the moment I unboxed it, the experience has been smooth, intuitive, and surprisingly hassle-free. Setup was a breeze — it took just a few minutes to connect the sensor to my existing eufy HomeBase system via the app. The instructions were clear, and no special tools or wiring were required. Whether mounted with screws or adhesive, the device is compact and discreet, fitting effortlessly into the corner of a room. In terms of performance, the sensor is extremely reliable. It accurately detects motion across a wide field of view and a generous range, making it ideal for entryways, hallways, or larger living areas. It has never triggered a false alarm, even with pets moving around, which I truly appreciate. One of the standout features is the smart integration with the eufy Security ecosystem. I receive instant alerts on my phone whenever motion is detected, and the customizable modes in the app allow me to easily switch between Home, Away, and Disarmed settings based on my schedule.

Sensitive Detector (Which is a good and bad thing)
Eufy Security Review I’ve put a lot of time into researching alarm systems. I used to work for an alarm system company and believe in home managed “smart” systems. Eufy caught my eye after a lot of great reviews on the doorbell. I decided to keep all my sensors and cameras within the same system to keep it easier to manage. After having it for 8 months now: I’ll go over the pros and cons of this system from my experience. My system includes: 2k Wireless Doorbell Cam, Door/window sensors, Motion sensors, Eufycam 2c (wireless) version, Eufy Cam 2, and a 2k Indoor Cam Pan and Tilt. I have been testing most cameras on the highest sensitivity Pros: 1. Won’t drain your wifi: We have relatively low bandwidth, a decent amount of smart devices, and Eufy works well most of the time! The range is good too I have one camera in the backyard away from the house and it streams well. 2. Local recording: Peace of mind knowing someone at the company or something isn’t watching you.. I hope, haha. 3. Installation and setup: Don’t know how it could be easier. 4. Interface is easy to use and setup to customize 5. Battery on dedicated Cameras - The version 2 camera really did last 6 months before I had to charge it, and I had high sensitivity most of the time. The 2C cameras are good, but not quite as advertised. The doorbell is the worst and I have to charge is about every 2-3 weeks. Cons: 1.) Motion detection - this is my biggest issue with the system as its part of most of the products use this hardware to trigger alerts or record. - Detection/reach is NOT 30 feet. I’ve measured on multiple cameras and it rarely picks up anything that far away. Usually starts recording at about 10-15 feet (so half?!). Not great. - People and dogs? Nope. It will often go off with cars, leafs blowing by, when a cloud moves and the suns sines through brighter than the second before, and more. This can be very frustrating, especially when you have it set to “human only” mode. WHAT HUMAN CAN MOVE 35 mph and is 12 feet long? Or what human is 3 inches big and brown…i.e a leaf? Haha. - Slow: If someone hurries up to your door or by the camera, it won’t pick it up. I get a lot of recording of back of heads as UPS folks are going away. -Sometimes misses obvious ones: A family member will walk by a camera 10 ft away in the middle of the day, or go to their car and nothing will have been triggered. Kinda scary. This is especially odd since I’ll get 3 triggers a day from a gust of wind, but not a person walking by… I don’t get it. 2.) False Alarms. This is mostly a product of the motion detection and mentioned above. The scariest in when you have the alarm set to “away” in the middle of the night. The heater turns on in the basement and a “motion detection” alarm goes off. You spring out of your bed… oh crap, someone is in the basement?? Grab a gun, wife runs to grab kids… your adrenaline is running high at 2am and… nothing (thankfully). Have that happen a few times with a camera, or motion sensor and then it becomes a boy who cried wolf situation. Scary when you actually need to be alarmed though you’ve built up a tolerance. But hey, now I’m getting good at “sweeping” an area much like a SWAT team I see in the movies? Haha 3.) Default evening motion detection is set to “all things”. So if cars go by, you’ll have to turn off notifications or else you’ll get a LOT, all night. 4.) Doorbell Battery life: if you want to monitor well, it dies quickly. Again, it picks things up late in my experience so I have to have it on high sensitivity or it misses obvious things. And yes, I’ve tried placing it in different spots. 5.) Image quality not as advertised- for “2k” on some of these cameras, it’s not like the advertisements where you can zoom in and clearly see a license plate or something haha. Faces are pretty good, but it’s not thaaaat great. Better than others for sure, but still not what you’d expect for what seems to be the highest def in the consumer wireless market. 6) Incomplete Security items: These are bonuses, but a fire-alarm, flood sensors, or other items that would make it complete. This includes monitoring service. Would be great to have IF you go away on vacation for a week. I’d pay for it. Lastly, I love that a certain competitor has a cell signal incase wifi goes out. 7) Indoor cam has its own security settings. Why is this separate? Just treat as another 2c, or version 2 camera. Conclusion: I had high hopes for this system. Other systems seems to be less compatible with google home, or charge money to use the cloud, or don’t locally record, etc…. It seems there is not a perfect complete system. This one is pretty good If I were to do it again I would just use the doorbell and maybe door/window sensors. I then would get the cameras and motion sensors from a different company and hope I can bridge it all to a google home or something.

How I use the motion sensor
This motion sensor is doing exactly what I wanted it to do. I set it up in my mailbox to let me know when the mail arrives. I had to put the sensitivity on the lowest setting to prevent hundreds of unwanted alerts Now it only alerts when the mailbox is opened. Thank you for a great product

Eufy’s “Security” System Is a Dangerous Joke. Weak Alarm, Misleading Info, and Useless Support
I spent over $400 on what I thought was a full Eufy home security setup. I bought the HomeBase 2, the 5-piece sensor kit, smart lock, doorbell camera, outdoor camera, chime, and more. I expected to feel safe in my home. Instead, I got a system that can barely be heard and a support team that doesn’t even understand how their own products work. Only the HomeBase 2 makes a sound when the alarm is triggered. None of the sensors, cameras, or other components ring. Just one small box with a 100 dB siren sitting upstairs next to my router. I live in a two-story home. One day the alarm rang for hours and I didn’t even notice. Neither did my neighbors. What kind of security system is that? When I contacted customer service, I explained everything clearly. I gave them the facts, the issue, and the exact solution. Their replies were insulting. They asked me if I had tried turning up the volume. I had. They told me to try different alarm tones. I had. They told me to move the HomeBase, even though I clearly said it had to stay next to the router. Then they told me to use my doorbell camera as a siren, which is connected to a chime and would go off with every passerby. It’s not even linked to the HomeBase alarms. That suggestion made no sense at all. Then came the most ridiculous part. They actually asked me if my house had walls. Yes, my house has walls. That’s how houses work. If your product can’t be heard through a wall, it’s not fit to be called a security system. It got worse. They asked if my motion sensors and entry sensors made noise. These devices do not emit sound. They never have. It’s shocking that their own support team doesn’t even know how their products function. That’s basic information and they clearly didn’t have it. They also told me Eufy doesn’t make a separate siren. I had to send them a link to their own siren listed on Amazon before they even acknowledged it existed. I asked for two of them to be sent to me as a fair resolution. After dodging the request with emotional reassurances and irrelevant replies, they just stopped responding. To make things even more frustrating, one of the cameras I bought wasn’t compatible with the system. I only found this out through trial and error, because the product description doesn’t mention it. Nowhere does it say it won’t work. That’s on them. There’s no actual customer service number. You’re left emailing support reps who don’t read your messages, don’t know the products, and give you useless copy-paste responses while stalling you into silence. I handed them the solution. I explained the problem from day one. I did all the work for them. The moment I had an airtight case and knocked down every excuse they had, they disappeared. If you want a system that’s reliable, loud, and backed by people who care about your safety, this isn’t it. The design is flawed, the listings are misleading, and the customer service will waste your time until you give up. I regret buying this. You will too.
