Efficient, lightweight and easy to use
I have just used this machine for the second time after buying it. Having having thought for ages that I could mow the lawns myself, after years of having a gardener to do it I decided to buy this machine. I did the usual online research and this one came out well. The last time I mowed the lawns was over ten years ago using an old Hayter Harrier 48. Some of the reviews said that this machine is heavy, well not in comparison to the old Hayter. This machine is a joy to use. It's easy to start, the handle height is easy to adjust as is the cutting height. It copes well with fairly long and wet grass and is easy to manoeuvre. My only complaint, and this is why it only has four stars instead of five, is that the cable at 10 metres long is too short. Having said that for my garden which is odd shaped, even 20 metres would not have been long enough. I would have no hesitation in recommending this machine. If I remember, I may well do an update on this review in a few months time to see how the machine holds up over a longer period, but at present, as a 71 year old woman for me it's great.I’ve just come across this review from 2018. I moved into rented accommodation for two years during Covid, and have at last moved into my new home. I used the lawn mower yesterday after three years of not having used it, and it started first time. I think that’s pretty good going, bearing in mind it sat in a slightly dusty and not entirely dry shed for the past three years. I definitely recommend this machine. Brilliant!

Excellent mower, but ridiculously short cable
Grass box fits easily, height adjustment is easy it is quieter than my previous (1984 vintage) electric mower and much more effective. It is also much lighter and can be lifted with one hand.Downsides - the 10m cable, shurely no sensible person would expect a customer to buy a big lawn mower for a lawn that could all be mown at a maximum distance of 10m from a socket. The grass box full indicator does not seem to work for damp grass or leaves. I would have given it full marks if the cable had been a sensible length.

Chomps through the grass
Bought this mower for a medium to large lawn. Quick and easy to assemble. Did a first cut of the year a couple of weeks ago and it chomped through some damp, quite long grass when on its highest setting. We like the large number of height settings which are easy to change. Grass box holds a lot, though quite heavy when full. Handle has a useful adjustment and folds easily for storage. Some people have complained that the cable isn't very long, but that's easily sorted with an extension reel.

Best electric mower
Out of all the electric mowers I’ve used, I rate the Bosch 10/10. Firstly, grass even when slightly wet doesn’t get stuck under the mower, wheels or the collection bag. Secondly it’s super quiet compared to most mowers and cuts through the lawn without any challenges, collects leaves as described without shredding them. It’s ready to use out of the box and stripes really well! Height adjustment for cutting height is easy and you can adjust the handle height too. I wouldn’t touch any other mower now!

Great - but stupidly short power cable
Rotak 750 seems nice and powerful - able to cope with 6" growth over large garden and without too much effort.Height and handle length are easily adjustable.Negatives - it doesn't do as good a job of collecting the grass as my old hover, leaving quite a bit lying on the lawn (though the majority is collected) and it's difficult to detach the grass box for emptying without spillage. It's also unsurprisingly heavy compared to my old hover, which makes it difficult to mow on steep side slopes, etc.Main negative is the ludicrously short power cable. This is a mower recommended for gardens up to 750m2 and it comes with a 10m cable - even in the best case that only allows 314m2! I'm sure that dealing with a long extension cable and having to constantly move the reel doubled the time it took to mow the lawn...

Update - Think twice before purchasing this mower! I have now returned 2 of this model
**************Update at the bottom of this review***************It's not often I write reviews and less so a negative review, but I thought I should share my experiences.I have had this mower for just over two months and have had Bosch electric mowers for over 20 years and this is the first time I have not been impressed. The first thing I will say is it is very, very quiet and the height adjustment of the handle is very easy. However, this is where the good points stop. We'll start off with the cable. This mower is designed for "medium to large" lawns, so I wonder why this one comes with the shortest length cable of all Bosch lawnmowers - at 10 metres, I have to keep moving the extension cable reel far more often than previously - I defy Bosch to find a "large" lawn which is smaller than 10m in all directions. It is a good thick cable, but needs to be twice the length. The collecting boxA great idea that it collapses as it takes up less space when storing. However, the hinges by which it folds are awkward to make it collapse and they have already started catching on the mesh material of the collector, so it won't be long before holes develop. The box does not fit snugly to the back of the mower (there are gaps all around) and it is not as easy to fit as my last Bosch (Rotak 43)Every time the box is removed, grass fall out - perhaps in a future design, a "lip" could be added to the box to catch the falling grass (to go partly under the bottom of the mower)? The sliding height adjusterThis is great as the handle can be stopped at any position, but for the taller person, extra length would make mowing more comfortable.Blade height adjustmentWhen it is new, it is great and easy to set the height of the cut. However, as soon as cuttings get caught around the mechanism, the highest and lowest setting become more and more difficult to select and eventually impossible - this never happened on my previous Rotak. The "ergo" handle gripsThese appear to be a larger grip than on the Rotak 43 - it's okay for those with the hands the size of Godzilla, but for me, it is too big and has started to cause blisters when cutting my "large" lawn. The carry handleThis is very well placed, which means carrying the mower when folded is well balanced. However, when selecting the highest blade setting has been difficult, the handle pops out of its holes and I am sure it is only a matter of time before the lugs (to hold the handle in place) snap off.The general feelWithout doubt, this mower is much more flimsy than the Rotak 43 and when you turn the mower, there is a fair degree of "twist" in the handles before the mower responds - it does not seem in the least bit "robust" and I am concerned with the impact this will have on the mower's overall life.I thought I would treat myself to the "up market" version, but now wish I had just replaced my Rotak 43 with the same model...Very disappointedThe motor on this mower has packed up...twiceThe first one lasted just under a year and the second less than 6 months - it turns out it is not just the plastic is flimsy!
