Reliable starting so far and good to use.
Good so far. It started after three pulls - there's been negative feedback about new machines not starting, the switch was in the 'off' position and was really stiff to budge it for the first time. I didn't know if it was ON or OFF and therefore which direction to persuade it. The switch eventually budged with a loud click and has been easy to use since - I guess it's newness meant that the switch had seized plastic-to-plastic and had never been used. Otherwise all good so far. A neighbour has one and the ignition failed after a few months but we replaced it outside of warranty cheaply and easily, so maybe there were some faulty batches. Theirs works very hard as a brush cutter. They're so pleased they bought a second one, that's partly why I chose this one too. Hedge trimmer deals with thin twigs but nothing very thick - I've had better cutting from budget electric hedge trimmers. OK for trimming hedges but not so good at cutting back things like hawthorn. Harness is basic but OK and comfortable.

Underwhelming Performance and Build Quality
I purchased the Hyundai 52cc Long Reach 5-in-1 Petrol Garden Multi Tool with high expectations, hoping it would streamline my gardening tasks. However, my experience has been less than satisfactory. Firstly, the starting mechanism is unreliable. Despite following the instructions meticulously, the engine often requires multiple attempts to start, which is both time-consuming and frustrating. The soft-pull recoil system, touted as an easy start feature, doesn't consistently deliver on its promise. Once operational, the tool's weight becomes apparent. At 7.75kg, it's quite heavy, and even with the provided shoulder harness, prolonged use leads to significant fatigue. The harness itself is of subpar quality, offering minimal support and comfort. The attachments, while diverse, exhibit varying degrees of effectiveness. The hedge trimmer and chainsaw attachments perform adequately, but the grass trimmer and brushcutter lack precision and often struggle with tougher vegetation. Additionally, the extension pole, intended to provide extended reach, feels unstable and unwieldy, making high-reach tasks challenging. Maintenance is another concern. The tool requires frequent adjustments, and some parts, like the trimmer line, wear out quickly. Moreover, sourcing replacement parts has proven difficult, with limited availability and support. In summary, while the Hyundai 52cc Multi Tool offers versatility on paper, its practical application is hindered by starting issues, excessive weight, inconsistent attachment performance, and maintenance challenges. I would advise potential buyers to consider these factors carefully before making a purchase.

Terrific power tool!
I'm a professional gardener and had to replace a Stihl strimmer which was past its best. For the money this is fantastic. I've had to use all the attachments today on a job and was impressed with it's power and versatility. The pruning saw cuts well although I'd recommend not cutting anything smaller than 10mm diameter with it. the hedge trimmer works as it should but struggled with thicker stems (unfortunately those that are too small to prune with the saw.) The mulching blade is ok but I prefer my Oregon one, the string feed works very well with it's bump feed (something that was a complete headache with my previous Stihl) It's easy to start, easy to swap attachments and although heavy the harness works well. In 8 hrs of intermittent use it consumed just under a litre of fuel. Gripes, needs a 40 to 1 mix (my other tools use the more normal 50 to 1) The kill switch is easy to accidentally operate which is frustrating. Hence the 4 stars.

I believe Hyundai are actually far superior in quality and price!👍
This machine is a little bit heavy, and constant use can tire you out, however, what an amazing piece of equipment!! Especially with the price!! This engine is more powerful than most, and can cope with anything!🙏🏻 I always recommend using aspen fuel in all my machines, it may cost more but is really worth it! Just one of the jobs it can do would cost the same, but you have four attachments that cover most jobs, and the fifth being the extension, which is more than sufficient 👍 this makes transporting all my equipment so much more easier! One tool to do everything you need! I also bought a 20 inch Hyundai chainsaw, and I am so impressed with everything that I have bought!! Highly recommend using Hyundai equipment in the future!!👍 good quality at an amazing price! Starts easily! No fuss no problems! Look after your kit, keep good maintenance, and you will never be let down!! Can’t praise Hyundai enough!! Five stars easily!!

Solid and efficient tools
Not the cheapest you can buy but excellent quality and it works very well indeed. I have had a similar one from Stihl in the past and needed to get a replacement. The harness is weird to figure out at first but once you understand where the plate hangs (for me that is over my right hip) it balances the weight of the tool really well so you can use it for long periods. You will need ear defenders though (just as with any similar power tool). The motor starts easily once primed with fuel and the tank holds a really good amount. Be careful that you fit the solid spinning cutting blade though as it can vibrate if you don't. You will soon realise when you have done that. All the tools work as you would expect and make it really easy to get those jobs done in the garden.

Its just not what I expected
I have bad shoulders so I brought this to help do my massive hedge which is quite high and very long, having the extra length of the extra pole it meant I didn't need to go up ladders and struggle. Also some of the weight is taken from my shoulders onto the harness. Putting it together and swapping attachments is dead easy and straight forward. The Brush cutter can be a bit awkward to sit so its balanced right and seems to cut ok. The strimmer is good, but once the nylon cord breaks down only one side bumps out as it should. It cuts well. The chainsaw I havent used yet The hedge trimmer isn't very good at all. It is awkward to do at the shortest length even with the different angles of the head. But this is probably down to technique over design and the fact I have used hand heads for 15 years. It lacks the power of the McCullock machines i usually use and struggled to cut through anything much thicker than a pencil. My silver burch is in full swing looking thick and lovely, the trimmer struggled to cut through the leaves, I believe they're too light to drop between the blades. I have always used 2 stroke machines and this one is hands down the hardest one I've ever had to start. Fuel mixed as the bottle says but still its a nightmare to get it to kick over. Today I have used it for the second time since buying and I used it for just over an hour, my shoulder is still killing after using it and to add to it thr stop button pissed me right off, at certain angles I kept knocking it causing the machine to stop. Ita just not well placed at all. The harness isn't made for people of mysize really. Im 6"3 with a 50" chest, it made me feel like I was wearing a bra, even with everything as tight as I could get it with out the straps dropping out it was to low. Its a shame because I was expecting so much and thought by buying this tool with everything built in was going to save me money by not buying individual tools and help my shoulders. Granted my pain isn't as bad as what it would have been but at the moment I couldn't use it longer than an hour or two. Would I buy it again knowing what I know now? No. Itll probably now just serve as a strimmer and maybe use the chain saw every now and then. Im going to go back to using my hand clippers for the hedge.. Oh yeah the engine is so close to me I now stink of fumes and need a shower. Never had that before. Its will be ok for small jobs but definitely not for what I need. Juat for refrence, I live in an ex council house which is a corner plot. So just a normal house.

It just doesn't work
I bought this garden Multi Tool to trim the overgrown hedges between myself and neighbour's garden. The work had become too much for my old electric long reach trimmer. I only need to use it about twice a year, and thought buying an expensive device wouldn't be cost effective. How wrong I was, it was delivered promptly. And I must say the machine looked the part. It was a little fiddly to assemble but manageable. Then came the let down, I filled it with Aspen 2, the recommended fuel. I tried to start it, as per the manufacturers instructions. I continued to do so for probably over an hour, taking short breaks, as it was energy sapping trying to get it to run. It never even fired. I contacted Amazon and asked for a refund, who said it wasn't their problem it was down to the manufacturer Hyundai, as it had a 3 year warranty. Amazon flatly refused to assist me. I did contact Hyundai who replaced the unit, with another one. That also refused to start or fire. I have since done research via You Tube/ Google and find there are various videos on there which highlight problems with this item. Hyundai have offered to replace it once more, but what's the point if I've already had two of the devices, when the power units on both haven't even offered to start never mind run? Hyundai have tried, but the response I received from Amazon leaves a great deal to be desired. The manufacturers inform me the device is one of their best selling items, well those other purchasers must have received better machines than I did. Of course, I am just relating my experience which as you have gathered isn't a good one. Also there are others who have published their experiences of the difficulties in starting the machines on You Tube. And consider this if it takes you half an hour or more to start the machine, to complete 15 minutes work what efficiency is there in having a machine which is designed to ease the labour of your gardening tasks, not add to them? I wish I hadn't bought the machine, because it's of no benefit to me whatsoever. I couldn't recommend anyone else purchasing one either. I would have been better spending a little more money and buying it from a dealer in this type of equipment rather than online, certainly doing more research and buying a different make. I don't think I will be doing any more business with Amazon either, as from my conversations with them they could, and in my opinion should have been more helpful.
