Exceptional flavor
I had to write a review as there was some negative reviews on this tahini, mostly good, but a few negative. I use tahini for mostly hummus, but I have been making hummus for 30 years or more and I am picky about my tahini. I thought this had really good flavor, fresh sesame flavor, not the thickest, more on the runny side. But the flavor was exceptionally good - not weak in flavor at all. It is a smooth consistency and my hummus came out perfect. No hard cement on the bottom, just a quick stir and it was ready to use. The fact that it is organic is a huge plus. I will keep buying this for sure.

High-quality good-tasting tahini
At $7.50 each for a 14 oz jar it should be high-quality, lol. Yes, I feel it is slightly pricey, imo, because tahini pretty much tastes like tahini these days as so many vendors take pride in their tahini-creating process, but this one is particularly beautiful because you can see teeny particles from the seeds - makes it extra lovely. Has a very silky texture with no grit whatsoever and has a perfect liquidy, thicker-than-cream consistency. To know me is to know I love tahini TOO MUCH, and this brand keeps bonding my ongoing love affair for it. Having said that, I still think I am paying slightly more due to the box it came in (which is a nice presentation, yes, however, it will, unfortunately, go straight into the trash. So much for trees!). Therefore I am taking one star off for the price, giving it a four-star overall rating. I think it's worth $6 a jar considering its size, I suspect I'm paying extra for the excess packaging, which is understandable yet I wasn't aware of this when I made the purchased.

Tasty & natural product
Good stuff. Need to give it a solid stir sometimes to integrate the liquid but that's natural. My neighbor claimed she found the best commercial tahini available so we had a throw-down and this one won! I use it primarily to make hummus and have purchased twice.

A little bit smaller than expected but TOP-QUALITY TAHINI
Before buying tahini for the first time, I made sure to look up things to look for in BAD tahini which is if it's bitter, if it's oily (which would indicate the freshness), if its pure sesame seed, and the color. That being said, this product is TOP-QUALITY Tahini. Upon first inspection, there is a distinct nutty smell, which smells amazing and the color is a light brown color, which is ideal in choosing quality tahini. When I tasted it, there wasn't any hint of bitterness, but a kind of peanut butter taste, but more nutty. The texture was SUPER SMOOTH, which is great to use in dressings. There's a little bit of oil separation but it's expected and not in excess. One of the things that convinced me to buy it was the fact that it was organic non-GMO and the only ingredient was 100% ORGANIC ETHIOPIAN SESAME SEEDS. From my research, Ethiopia is the GOLD STANDARD of sesame seeds because of its volcanic soil and sunny climate, it provides these white humera sesame that has a great nutty flavor. The size of the jar is a little small but it's definitely worth it because it will last a long time! Will definitely buy this brand again.

Delicious, well-priced and smooooooooooth.
I’m a tahini purist and I have tried nearly every product out there - Trader Joes, Galil, Lior, Krinos. Ive noticed that they all have a strong and bitter taste, with a very unpleasant mouthfeel. I make hummus from scratch and was beginning to despair of finding a product with a good tahini flavor, that wasn't bitter and would give me hummus that tasted similar to the Zahav recipe. Enter pepperwood organics. This is comparable in price to the above mentioned brands but is super smooth with no hint of bitterness and is a delicious product. The packaging is beautiful (I'm definitely gonna be keeping the jar!), contains a recipe for tahini dip and is a great deal for the price. Plus- amazon prime shoppers don't even need to leave their house to get this! Kosher, organic, tasty.. Highly recommend.

Tasty Tahini, but has leaky plastic containers
This tahini tastes good. Opened one and stored in fridge while leaving the unopened container in our pantry. We noticed it was leaking so put it in the fridge too and cleaned the mess. Too bad this brand doesn't use glass jar containers. I have no idea if the second container is fresh. We will email the manufacturer if there happens to be an issue by the time we try to use.

EDIT: This product has changed somehow, not sure if transit effects it but even after stirring there is just a mass hard glob at the bottom of the jar that is like cement. WAS : The best tahini I've ever had. Pricey but worth it. Delicious, creamy, packed with nutritious benefits! Trying the unhulled next!
