Amazing Fountain Pen All Round - RECOMMEND IT!!
The red and gold is gorgeous. The pen does certainly have some wait to it, however it’s not heavy as people suggest infact i think the weight is perfect and i prefer it over a light pen. It’s very comfortable to hold and feels very good quality. The ink flow is insanely smooth, whether you’re writing fast it’s very very good no gabs or dotting it’s a smootthhh line! Definitely recommend!

Beautifully made and elegant fountain pen
Oh my, where do I start with this product. It is very well-made. The barrel is solid and the gold detailing is perfectly fitted; looks elegant against the black. The nib writes with ease and the ink flows perfectly. It is impossible for this pen to leak out of the barrel due to the screw on lid. My pen has not leaked, even though I’ve carted all over the house and into the garden, numerous times a day. The components are easily removed for cleaning. The pen has some weight, but sits very comfortably, well balanced in my hand. I use my pen daily for both writing and sketching, and I use different types of paper. The pen has worked perfectly on all types of paper through to the unevenness of watercolour paper without any problems. The flow is consistent and I’ve not had any issues with blockages. It is a joy to draw and write with. The case it comes in, he is very sturdy. The extra bits and pieces are an added bonus.

Beautiful Writer
This is a lovely solid fountain pen. I had already bought 2 W&B pens in the Bamboo series and was very impressed. I bought the EF nib version each time and the nibs performed beautifully - very smooth writers. That encouraged me to try this pen and it is beautifully finished. I read many of the reviews all of which were of the M nib versions. Some reported scratchy performance while others reported smooth. I ordered the EF nib and I'm not disappointed. The pen is a very smooth writer lays down a lovely fine line. It has a nice weight and balance for my taste. A common criticism of the pen in many reviews relates to the screw-on cap, citing an enormous number of turns to screw the cap on/off. It takes 3 full 360 degree turns to remove the cap and while this is more than any of my other pens I think the criticisms are greatly exaggerated. The screw on/off mechanism is metal and the threads are on the large side which does give some free play, (and makes a friction sound), when the cap is being removed or replaced. That may disappear after more use. I would have preferred a plastic screw with smaller threads for a more silent removal with less free play, - but that's a small issue. I docked the pen a star for that. All in all I think this is a very good pen for a comparatively reasonable price. I've not mentioned the presentation box it comes in as I have no interest in one and would prefer if the box were an option. I'd prefer no gift box and a cheaper price when I'm buying for myself. The bottom line is a pen is for writing and this pen with the extra fine nib is a very good writer indeed.

Works really well.
Flows well, and writes like a dream. From a signature to a copper plate script, it writes beautifully. It's a medium nib, and there are plenty of ink cartridges. It's best to keep it upright in all instances if possible to alleviate any undue leaking. Great pen for the price. Reliable and comfortable to write with. Superb purchase.

What a beautiful fountain pen
The pen comes in a lovely leatherette box holding the pen itself, 6 ink cartridges and various instructions. Inside the pen is the ink reservoir for those of you that prefer to use bottled ink. This includes me - but I'll use the ink cartridges first as they've been supplied! The pen has a lovely weighted feel to it, and a screw cap which will prevent those disastrous, top off, ink all over the pocket moments. The silver checkered effect on matt black gives a really expensive look. I'm not sure if the lid thread will mark the barrel over time - but that's a wait and see. The weight when writing is lovely and balanced. The ink flows smoothly and I can write with no smudges (I'm a right hander) Personally I had no problems getting the pen setup. Yes it took a couple of minutes for the ink to reach the nib after initial loading but this has been the same for every fountain pen I've ever had! You can't go wrong for the price of this pen. Really looking forward to using it regularly.

Leaky pen - avoid at all cost
As a fountain pen collector with over 250 pens from a wide range of reputable brands, I’ve never experienced anything like this. I inserted the ink cartridge, left the pen in its box for half an hour before use, and returned to find it had leaked everywhere — ink all over my desk and important work. The entire cartridge had emptied without the pen even writing a single word. Shockingly poor quality. I won’t be using the pen, and I regret falling for the marketing suggesting this was a quality product. Very disappointing and not what I’d expect at this price point.

Great value
This fountain pen is great value for the price (£21.95). The ink flows easily and very well. I had no need to shake the pen or flick the ink out. It doesn't blot or splash. and isn't scratchy. The nib is on the fat side of medium. Feels comfortable in the hand for width and length (I'm female. Slim, long-fingered; glove size 71/2). The cap does have quite a long screw on it (about 5 full turns) but it's not really a nuisance. So far ink hasn't leaked into the cap at all. The box is large - I have 6 fountain pens that fit neatly side by side, so that is an unexpected bonus. The ink cartridges are 6 blue and 6 black. The ink feathers into the paper more than Waterman or Quink, and takes longer to dry, but the intensity of the black is very nice. I'd definitely buy this brand of fountain pen again.

Very Good Pen with high quality

This fountain pen manufactured by Wordsworth & Black, a UK-based company, has a comfortable grip and writes smoothly. The pen is a bit large but causes no problem while writing. Uses both cartridge and converter. The product is well worth the price.

This is a HEAVY fountain. pen. This gives it a masculine feel so would be a perfect first pen for a man. In fact it's so heavy it writes better if you don't put the cap on the back of the pen. That's an important detail since most modern fountain pens are light, and balance better with the cap on back. Not this one. It's perfectly balanced if you just place the cap off to the side and start writing. The chrome finish is beautiful. I got the medium nib, and it's pretty big. But it's perfectly accurate even for smaller letters. Writes well on a cotton based paper. I am using one of the black ink cartridges that came with the pen. Surprisingly the ink is very dark and flows well. This pen also comes with a rechargeable ink tank. I will be curious to see if the pen nib works as well with bottled ink. Pelikan is my favorite brand but this nib may be flowy enough that some of the UK inks will work with it. My only complaint is that the machining on the threads for the cap felt rather rough and gritty when screwing it off and on. However as I use the pen more those threads are wearing in nicely and should get smoother over time.
