This gym chalk surpassed my expectations. This is my first time using gym chalk and I honestly thought it will be like regular chalk but its not! I got the chunkiest version and it came vacuum sealed and even when I opened it, there was no dust! The chunky version also has powder but mostly chunk - very very smooth chalk, soft but not powdery in the sense that the chunks break easily which I love! And its not grainy.. I feel the quality is amazing and I can literally take a small piece/chunk and just whiten my palms a little and the chalk stays on through me pulling weights and beyond. Gives my palms a nice roughness to hold the weights more easily. also I wash my hands like crazy times a day and so they usually run dry but this chalk did not irritate my hands! Also I could wash it off very easily. Another misconception I had was that this amount of chalk will finish very fast but it is going to last a long time - this quantity is quite large actually. I highly recommend this!!

recently started rock climbing earlier this year and quickly found the need & benefits to a good chalk. Have been fortunate to try a couple different brands now because of originally renting at the gym where I started and some friends. That said, was looking for one overall that provided what I liked and wanted. Survivor chalk has thus far been it - nice mixture of chunks in the chalk while the powder is not ultra fine (have tried it, it's nice but doesn't last long on hands). Survivor offers good grip and does last for a couple of runs at the gym. Functionality is about as expected for gym chalk and value decent for what you get. Would purchase this again

I originally gave this 3 stars for how it works and the value but I’m bumping it up to 4 stars because the company contacted me since I wasn’t completely satisfied. ——— I'm a mainly indoor rock climber and I tried this chalk recently. It's a little bit more expensive than the bulk chalk that I usually buy, but not by much. I did notice that I had to reapply more often with this chalk than my usual chalk but it coated my hands more evenly. I got the chunky chalk which kept things neat and it worked fine.

I never used chalk before for my workouts, but this chalk stays on my hands and works great and as advertised .

My son is an active Ninja athlete and boulders to cross train as often as possible. Here is his review: I don’t usually use powdered chalk but this chalk was different. For me powdered chalk has a history of not lasting very long, but Survivor Extra-Chunky chalk lasted surprisingly long compared to all the other powdered chalks I’ve used. Also, with the chunks in the chunky chalk it’s way less of a mess than regular straight powder chalk. Coming from a family of people with sensitive skin the chalk is very easy on my skin and brings no irritation unlike the other chalks I've used. Highly recommend you give this chalk a try if you want long lasting, easy on the skin, and no mess powdered chalk. He will be using it again tonight! Thanks, Scott

I am currently using Friction Lab and would like to try another more economical version. The extra chunky came vaccum sealed and the chunks actually keep the form pretty well, less messy when transferring to my chalk bag. The chalk itself is very fine. My hands don't sweat so I can't comment on the drying part but it doesn't cause over drying discomfort afterwards like Friction Lab does. Also, I noticed that it doesn't "disappear" as much as Friction Lab. I go through Friction Lab really fast for some reason. Overall, I probably would alter this between Friction Lab since they are pretty comparable but I would keep Friction Lab for those "humid" days.
