I’ve struggled with a bare patch in the corner of my garden which suffers from poor lighting and constant debris from a nearby tree.The Gro-Sure Smart Patch worked a treat and the patch is completely gone.It did require a couple of months to really bed in but the results were visible after 14 days or so

The Built in applicator is 9 x 15mm holes in the side of the box. every patch (45cm ) requires 75 grams. To apply turn the box & seed & stuff will come out of the 9 holes. You would be very clever to deliver 75 grams. for the sake of a few pennies supply a 75 gram measure. This Product is not cheap but it appears to work I have done 2 patches & have grass growing. Just do not expect a proper measured scope. This was the reason I purchased the product to enable myself to apply at the correct rate. Most people will over supply the patch.

This covered a smaller area than I expected but it grew quickly with minimal ground preparation and resulted in good thick grass.

I did a patch test at the bottom of our garden that will soon be covered just to check the colour. And to test its resilience I dugout around a patch that was heavily infected with moss and fungus (as you can see from the white coloured grass surrounding it). Was in 2 mins as to whether it would work and you do have to use a fair bit! However, the results speak for themselves, incredible product. On the more expensive side of patch seed and I would only use it for smaller patches going forward, but i guess you get what you pay for. :)

The box arrived covered in dust, which may have been some of the contents. The contents was very dusty; I have used this before and the dust should have been balls. I couldn't see a date of manufacture or use by date but this seemed old. I will be very surprised if the seed germinates. I will update my review if it does...
