Great price point! Great productbest part is it fits in with your SD cards no extra bs cables
I've had a few products like this some of them with wires and plug in USB some of them that plug in USB with a couple different ports other than the c type this one I like because it's compact it fits right in with your SD cards and most standard SD card holders it is real easy to install use it for many different things like checking my trail cams and the location that they are at rather than switching out SD cards the size is perfect it's a great value for your money and picture quality is perfect for my needs some people out there might need something a little more specialized but I'm sure you know who you are and what you need this works good for the average person who just needs to upload some stuff or have your computer run on different chips for different reasons

THERMAL ISSUES ARE A CONCERN
I liked the smaller form factor versus the old Sandisk ImageMate All-In-One workhorse model that is intended for a desktop setup. I had no issues with the Uni USB-C reading Samsung or San Disk memory cards. Uni functioned perfectly via port to port read and write at simultaneously and from card to card data transfers. [NOTE: a few users complained the device did not function in that manner by design. I can assure you it has no issues reading and writing to two SD cards mounted in the unit.] SETUP: 2014.5 Macbook Pro running OSX 10.15.3 with Uni USB-C 3.0 mated to Mac USB port directly (no USB hub). MEDIA: -Samsung SD 500GB card connected directly into the micro SD slot (no adapter) -Sandisk 400GB card connected via card adapter into larger SD slot. (w adapter) ANOMALY: THERMAL ISSUES Upon insertion, Spotlight indexing alone caused the Samsung SD card to get red hot to the touch thus warranting an immediate shutdown and removal of the device. -Spotlight was disabled and the Samsung card was reinserted without thermal issues. -Sandisk SD card inserted. No issues. Data transfer was then started with a few small files at a time without issue. 2.26GB of docx files were then transferred without issue. When moving large amounts of data however, the card got hot. So did the entire USB card reader. UNI device warm to the touch. Card temp nominal temp. No rise detected. The transfer results were successful. This device does work regarding Form, Fit and Function. However, the heat issues are something one should be weary of. Reason being, as a comparison, I ran the same Samsung SD card in the old Sandisk ImageMate All-In-One model and allowed Spotlight to index the entire 500GB card. The card was luke warm while the reader body was cold. Now, as to whether or not the circuit board inside was getting warm or not, I cannot attest to that but, I can attest to the fact the temperate of the SD card itself was luke warm. And that is really what matters. A scorching hot memory card warrants attention. I can copy the entire contents and move it over in one operation without the cards melting down on the old workhorse (Sandisk ImageMate All-In-One) . For smaller data transfers or, perhaps other applications on other computers this UNI USB-C reader may operate okay. I cannot say without testing it myself in a reliability lab for months on end. The OEM making these should have done a DOE and all the Environmental and Reliability Testing to ensure thermal runaway was not an issue. It is an issue that warrants attention. SUMMARY: Great form factor. No fitment issues. (Note: I hope users are aware of the direction the cards go in. It sounds like some are jamming the cards in in the incorrect orientation. I had no fitment issues on the 2021 model. Transfer speeds were quick. Hundreds of GBs of data were moved without corruption. The only anomaly or issue rather of concern is the thermal rise at the SD card level. If they are using the body of the device as a heat sink to wick heat away from the components inside, I get that aspect. It is a very small form factor but, the question is where is the heat originating: The card or the electronics inside? I would not take a chance on a scorching hot memory card being reliable and holding out for any length of time - especially on repeated thermal shocks like what this device subjects cards to.

Solid little reader
Been using it a lot over the last several months. Reliable, compact, works well and as advertised with both USB-A and USB-C (which is a handy feature).

Extremely Handy!
It's so useful, after I tested the first one, I ordered another immediately to leave in my glovebox, which I had to use within a week. I originally picked this up because it's compact, and can read the high capacity cards that I use in my Viofo dashcam. It's so much simpler and FASTER than having to WiFi connect to the camera to transfer pictures and videos. It's plug and play, and no driver download needed for my Windows machine, but it took a second the first time I plugged it into my Samsung Android as an OTG device. I've only used it in USB 3+ ports, so the transfer rate is literally at the capable limit. Which is great, because on the way to work one day, I was behind a Honda that got t-boned by a deer on a country road. I was able to quickly pull the card, grab this mini reader, and give him my footage in just a few minutes, then I was back on my way to work. If you're getting this because you also have a dashcam, go ahead and snag two. They're so cheap and useful, you'll thank yourself one day for having a spare in your center console.

Amazing!!!
Bought a new samsung s25. No expandable memory so I could not transfer my SD card from my old Moto. This gave me complete control for $10. Could not be happier. I used the type C slot and have not tested the original USB but see no reason it would work the same. Works for what I needed. For transferring from a micro SD to a samsung s25 it is perfect. By complete control I mean I was also able to completely wipe all other files I didn't want on the SD card and now I have a clean card after moving all files I did want. Perfect for my application.

Small and useful
Very useful and it's very easy to plug and play. The transfer connectivity was seamless and it reads the memory card without issues. It has the right storage capacity. Perfect product to use when transferring data from your micro SD and SD Cards.

Nice to have
Honestly thought this was gonna not work that well but I was mistaken. It plugged right into my phone and computer and transfered files fast and without any issue. Plus I can use more than just a micro SD card which is nice. Plus its very portable and easy to carry. The only negative is you haft to be carful when the sd card is inserted cause it sticks out the side and can hit things also if you dont safely unjack it it can corrupt the files. Would buy again 9/10

Shows up on my desktop right away, unlike my old reader : ) that took ages to appear. That's what I really like. Just wish the slots were on opp sides, though. There were times I needed to use both the SD and Micro SD cards at the same time ( like for transferring ) and it gets a little tricky to slot them in.
