Great electrical accessory for wirenut installations, quality and durable.

I have been an Electrician for 19 years. This is absolutely the best tool I ever bought. Wish I bought it 19 years ago. Works great with Ideal brand wirenuts. I have not tried it on other brands of wirenuts. The wirenuts need to have the two wings on them to work with this tool. When you use this tool with the drill, I recommend turning the drill slowly so you don't over twist the wires and to hold the wires with your free hand. Watch the You Tube videos. This tool is a true time saver. It is my belief that it also helps to prevent repetitive motion injuries from twisting wirenuts by hand all day.

Best for the money

I tried using this with a cordless drill, but the drill is overkill for what is needed. Instead, I attached it to a screwdriver shaft and taped it with electrical tape to keep it from falling off. I used it for ~20 wire nuts and it worked well. The screwdriver handle provides plenty of torque without much effort and is a lot more convenient than using a drill - especially since I was working overhead.

A life saver for twisting wires. After getting this i dont rewire anything without having this tool with me. This saves me a ton of time and saves my hand from twisting over and over wire nuts. It attaches to a wide variety of wire nuts. It does not attach to small wire nuts. But for anything 14 gauge or higher it will do. I can redo outlets at a faster rate than other electricians. I have no hand cramps. I attach this to a drill when i redo an apartment of outlets and switches to avoid constant twisting of my hand. I would buy this over and over except i have yet to even break it. I thought that the plastic would crack. But it has yet to do so. Just be careful when its attached to the drill that it doesnt drop on the floor and crack it. UPDATE: I have found out that you can over twist wires more easily with this on a drill. Once you get the feel of it you know where to stop to avoid this. Sometimes i even hit the drill and check, only to hit it again, to avoid over twisting. This has enough power to not have to pre-twist the wires together. You can just butt the wire nut to the wires and put this on and it will twist it beautifully for you.

This tool is worth buying! Twisting wire nuts all day can get tiring and this tool takes the work out of properly connecting wire. This is especially true if you've had carpal tunnel syndrome. It fits a wide range of wire nuts and is designed for wire nuts with wings however I have been able to twist several sizes that do not have wings. It works best when twisting #14 thru #10 wire. Of course common sense has to be used as this tool when attached to a power tool enables the user to easily over tighten wire nuts. This has a permanent home in my tool bag!

This thing is great. As an electrician you have to worry about injury through repetitive movement. This little guy reduces wear and tear on your hands as well as making the job go by faster. I have found that this works with a large assortment of different wire nuts from the larger red/yellows down to the little orange guys. I have also found that this guy makes things easier when you are trying to splice multiple stranded wires over 1 or 2 solid wires, as it seems to help keep everything aligned and zip it down fast. I am just using a small makita impact so I have not noticed any over-torquing or damage to the wires, but I am also cautious not to get crazy with it either.

This twist wire connector socket is absolutely fantastic! As an electrician, I appreciate tools that save time and reduce strain, and this one does both. These are designed for wire nuts with SHOULDERS. They will not work on wire nuts that are round across the entire circumference. That being said, it does a great job with shouldered wire nuts. Pop the nut on the wires, twist a little to get it gripped, and then give the Spin-Twist a rev with your drill. Solid connection half a second later. The only gripe is that it's a bit loose with the tolerances, but I believe it's by design to prevent over-tightening.
