Brought new life to my old 6-1/8 inch Craftsman jointer
I have a 30+ year old 6-1/8 inch Craftsman jointer that I thought I would need to replace since the motor sounded terrible. I decided to try and replace the belt first, before I bought something else, and it is now running much better. This belt seemed better quality than the original Craftsman belt and I am hoping that it will let me get another few years out of the jointer. It was very difficult to install, but I believe that is likely more due to the jointer design than the specific belt. The belt needs to fit tight over the pulleys for it to work effectively and given the belt has very little stretch it was a challenge to install, but so far has been worth the effort.
