AEETechnology S40 Pro 1080P HD 16MP Time Lapse Long Battery Life Action Camera (Deep Red)

This is an excellent camera that gets extremely crisp photos and videos, I’ve compared the footage I’ve captured with this camera vs my iPhone 6 and this camera gets much brighter and more vivid colors compared to my iphone. Be warned, once you purchase this camera you will most likely buy some accessories to go with it. It’s really addicting to time-lapse my work flow and share them on social media. I get so many comments about how fun my job looks when it’s actually really boring (I’m a Geologist). The camera itself is built really well and the red makes it stand out so it’s easy to find when mixed in with other electronics. I’m totally guilty of keeping a lot of different stuff in my messenger bag when I’m on site and the Red is great for quick location and extraction from the bag. Pictures and video are great quality, I used to use my phone for quick and convenient pictures for documentation. But this camera is so small and convenient that I’ve replaced my phone with it. Picked up 2 spare batteries and some 64GB microSD cards plus the screen so I can review the pictures without having to transfer to my laptop.

Quality of time-lapse footage is decent. Some issues - you must re-seat the SD card prior to every use of you get an erroneous "No SD" on the LCD display. The documentation appears to have been written in one language and translated to English by someone without a working knowledge of English.

This is a nifty little camera. But...It's barely useful without the extra ($46) Display. I bought this for the Time Lapse features exclusively. The extra buttons are on the aux screen, so the advertised feature is missing.

This action camera is excellent! Easy to use, video quality is excellent, and feature rich. This is comparable to GoPro. Why get GoPro when you can get this at a fraction of the cost?

Saw good reviews so I bought this. Was looking to record myself painting on a time lapse. Didn't realize it comes with no SIM card and no LCD screen, so I can't see what I'm shooting, let alone test the camera out without purchasing more things.The screen is sold out. I can't even try it out which stinks, but just based on the inconvenience thus far I really don't see the value. No incentive for me to purchase a screen and a card with a bad taste in my mouth already.

Our product arrived safely yet it was malfunctioning. We will be sending back for another one. Hopefully the replacement will work properly.
