Protein Bar, Cookies 'n Cream, 20g High Protein, Gluten Free, 12 Count

I am lazy, and although I buy almost everything besides perishable groceries on Amazon, I suck and pretty much never write reviews. Seriously, I spend thousands a year with Amazon, and I think this is my second review in 15+yrs. I am writing this one, because not only is the product amazing, but when they sent me the wrong flavor yesterday and I kinda started crying (I hadn't eaten all day - it was 9p, was really hungry, and these were literally the only thing I wanted and this flavor isn't sold in stores near me .. please forgive me Amazon for calling customer service while sniffling and a little emotional!!! 🙏🙏🙏). The customer service lady was super nice, dealt with my hunger-induced emotional state with kindness and understanding, apologized, and got a box shipped out to me super fast - it arrived this am!!! so one, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! .. now, onto the actual review of the product. I have been eating promax bars since the early 2000's. Promax makes the best tasting bars, and nutty butter crisp is far and above the best flavor!!! 😍😍😍 I have always played sports, but got into lifting as well in college, so getting enough protein became pretty important. Since the early 2000's I have tried numerous protein bars, shakes, enhanced foods (like peanut butter and milk - shout out top fairlife filtered/ high protein milk 💪), so I feel qualified to say that this brand is amazing and has some great flavors - depending on one's flavor preference. Obviously, if one doesn't like pb and chocolate, this specific flavor is not for them. The other flavors I've tried that are great as well (just not my favorite or worth crying over 🤣) are lemon, cookies and cream, and chocolate brownie. Haven't tried the cookie dough, I think I tried the chocolate peanut back in college and didn't like as much as nutty butter crisp. Anyway, I would rather eat one of these than a candy bar, and I have a major sweet tooth, so these bars are legit. They give you the taste without the guilt, so if I happen to binge and eat a few in one sitting (this happens more than it should 😬😬😬🤭) I don't feel too horrible about it because *protein* hahaha. The only reason I'd say maybe these aren't for you, is if you hate delicious things 😁 or if you have crappy self-control like me, because you may easy the entire box in one sitting. There is only one other kind of protein bar that I buy now, won't name them to protect the innocent :/, but I literally only buy them because they don't taste very good, so I don't have to worry about binging on them, thus I can buy them in bulk without an issue. Slightly ulterior motive, I'd like this flavor to remain popular, because if they ever discontinued it .. let's just say that based on my reaction last night when I received the wrong flavor .. I may literally have a mental breakdown. Full Disclosure: I had avoided ordering them for two weeks because I was going to be stuck in bed after a procedure, and didn't want to binge on them while depressed about being stuck in bed. So, when I finally ordered them, I was kinda desperate. I was waiting for them all day yesterday, constantly refreshing the delivery info page, then tracking the delivery guy's route, wondered if it was ok to go meet him when he was 9 stops away, decided it probably wasn't, waited outside for 30mins for him to show up, and almost kissed him when he arrived with my package. I went inside and rapidly opened the box. Upon seeing the wrong flavor, in a very dramatic fashion, I dropped the box on the floor, dropped myself on the floor, started wailing and screaming a little, then actual tears came. Then I decided I was being a little ridiculous, but while still sniffling, called customer service - which I have never done before, and don't anticipate needing to do again, as nothing is really that important that I can't just use the online system .. ok, except these .. anyway, I am not a cryer, and I'd like to blame lack of sleep, extensive hunger, and desperate anticipation for this behavior. I am really rather embarrassed actually, and I really apologize to my neighbor and Amazon for freaking out. But yes, under the aforementioned circumstances, nutty butter crisp promax bars are worth crying over 😁🤣🤣🤣. ENJOY!!!!

This is the best tasting flavor that Promax makes, in my opinion! I was forced to try the Double Chocolate Fudge flavor due to Amazon being out of this flavor & it was just “ok” compared to the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough flavor & I have already ordered 2 boxes of the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Flavor as soon as I could!!

Over the past several years, sucralose has taken over as the preferred sweetener for health/fitness foods like protein powders and protein bars. But sucralose is documented as being antagonistic toward gut bacteria and for this reason, it causes me a lot digestive distress. So I've learned to avoid it like the plague. However, it has become harder and harder to avoid. I was happy to find this brand and this flavor a few years ago and I've been buying it ever since. I'm not really a chocolate person but I've also learned to accept that most of these foods come in various shades of chocolate. Cookies and cream flavors are the most acceptable chocolate flavor and this bar is reasonably tasty. It's not too hard or too soft, with an almost candy bar like consistency. Not quite, but close. It's somewhat thick as you're chewing it but not so much so that it's hard to eat. And it's appropriately sweet but not too sweet. If you like cookies and cream flavored snack bars, this is a pretty good bar with whey protein and some added vitamins and minerals. You can slide it in your bag or purse when you're on the go or when you're too lazy to just make yourself a proper breakfast. It's reasonably priced for this category (this category is expensive, though) and when you buy a box like this, it's the closest thing you can get to economical.

First I would like to say the chocolate chip cookie dough flavor is the best tasting of the promax protein bar flavors out there. Some of the protein bars can have a chalky kind of taste to them but this one does not have a chalky taste to it. I really enjoy the flavor of this protein bar and I personally use this bar as a mid morning snack to satisfy my hunger cravings. I also tend to have a bit of a sweet tooth, so this bar also helps to satisfy my sweet cravings. Pros: -20 grams protein - No trans fat - Great taste Cons: - Most of the protein from Soy (soy can make me gassy) - 26 grams sugar is a little too high For those who are sensitive to soy protein as I am, I would try eating half the bar at first to see how your body responds. Since workout every morning, I would prefer that all my protein sources come from Whey protein, but I have found this bar to be a good supplement for me since I sit at a desk all day. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great tasting protein bar that goes down well (my kids even think the bar tastes really good).

These are the best protein bars I've ever found. They're a little high in sugar, but if you use them as a meal replacement and not along with a meal, you'll be ok! I've been eating 2 a day for 2 months and haven't gained an ounce, and my A 1C continues to stay at 5.2.. my grandmother is 84 years old and is pretty much confined to a wheel chair, it's pretty hard to get any meat into her for fear of her choking, but she loves these and they make her feel so much better. I'm so glad we found these. 3 months later: still getting these and they're still the BEST protein bars ive ever had! No chalky taste, and they still haven't raised my A1C. Same day delivery is amazing!!!

These are not like they used to be. They are HARD and barely any frosting. The flavor is still good but buyer beware!

Great taste High protein, low carbs Good price

By far the best of the Promax brand. A little too much sugar for me, so in have to eat one over the course of a day. That works out well as it keeps my blood sugar from going too low. Absolutely awesome tasting!

These bars are large and taste great. They are very filling and do the job at taking away cravings for sweets. I love their other flavors as well and buy these on a regular basis.

Delicious and makes you feel full

They don't have the best shelf life [in terms of best before date], but I've eaten them well past BB, and they were fine. For that reason, I like to freeze them. Cut them into chunks and freeze them; makes for a nice snack on a hot day. Don't delude yourself into thinking these are healthy. They have over 20g sugar per bar. With that said, they're also delicious AF, so moderation is key. I don't do well with artificial sweeteners, so a protein bar that tastes good and has real sugar is perfect for me. Seriously one of the best protein bars I've ever tried.
