Stiff stems. No soft upper halves of the grass.
The grass comes in 5 bundles which are folded in half. Most of the grass is the hard lower stems. The folding breaks them in half. The softer upper half of the grass is not there. So you just cant bend them to make pavitrams and koorchams, even after wetting them. The picture being shown of a bunch of the entire blades of grass is misleading.
