Harrington CX003 Mini Hand Chain Hoist, Hook Mount, 1/4 Ton Capacity, 10' Lift, 8.5" Headroom, 0.8" Hook Opening

I've been using this thing for 2 years now and its been great for me. Most of my work is in the 100 to 400 pound range. It is so much nicer than lugging 1/2 ton all over the plant. I can carry this in a small Klein pouch bag. I think the chain is stainless because it is lube free and I visit chemical plants and there is still no rust on it yet. It is even more compact than my coworkers 550 pound chain fall from another brand. Which is great because I run into issues not much room between the rig point and what I'm lifting. It is also very light which makes it easy to hook to my rig point with arm fully out streached 1 handed.

Ok look that price is a bit much but it still is worth it. The amount of times these little chainfalls saved me is already too much. It's extremely useful when dealing with heavy weights in difficult tight spaces. But there is also a bad thing about these chainfalls, the bolts that clamp the load hook will come off, so you will have to add loctite to the bolts to prevent the hook from coming off. So aside from that , you might have to snag yourself one or two.

Great little chain fall. Works as it should. I max this fall out at work regularly. Only company, they need to make a 1/2 ton verson like they do the lever hoist. The current 1/2 ton chain fall is just to big to pack in my tool box. If they produced a micro 1/2 ton chain fall it would likely be the only rigging I would need

Very nice chain host. Small, lightweight, smooth to operate, and not covered in black gunk like most chain hoists. My only complaint is it's REALLY EXPENSIVE compared to others. I know, I know, you get what you pay for, but DANG. The only reason I finally pulled the trigger and spent that kind of money was because I won a gift card that took some of the sting out.

You get what you pay for and this hoist is awesome. It's seems pricey compared to a hoist you might buy at Tractor Supply but there is no comparison. This is not a heavy duty hoist but,for lifting anything 500lbs or less its great. Very clean and compact. I would highly recommend it for lighter jobs.
