it is not necessary buy it twice

Poorly engineered
Having grown up with the original Mecano, this plastic version is very poorly designed. The piece parts have zero clearance when assembling the recommended root for example. I don't recommend ti=his for kids as its a frustrating experience.

Doesn't Hold Together
The problem is after you make the car or robot or whatever, it will start falling apart after 5 minutes of play with it. Bolts come loose, wheels fall off, the robot doesn't really stand up. Very disappointing.
