6" Backdraft Damper, One-Way Airflow Ducting Insert with Spring-Loaded Folding Blades for 6” Ducting in Range Hoods and Bathrooms Fans

After reading through dozens of reviews and product information, we first bought the AC Infinity Flexible 6-Inch Aluminum Ducting, Heavy-Duty Four-Layer Protection, 8-Feet Long for Heating Cooling Ventilation and Exhaust. It was packaged so well you could send it as a Christmas gift, the quality of the duct tubing was outstanding. Fast forward a week while we were installing the new stove exhaust fan, we realized we would need this flapper piece, as the old one was getting stuck. We were so impressed with the duct tubing that we purchased this product from AC as well, and were not disappointed. It is the Mercedes of exhaust flappers. This AC flapper was the exact size advertised at 5.79" width/diameter, which was just a smidgen smaller than most of the others advertised at 5.90" diameter. So instead of having to monkey around with it, it slipped perfectly inside the Vikio range hood 30" under cabinet kitchen hood with 980 CFM, 3 speed gesture sensing & touch control panel in stainless steel, vent hole on top the hood. A little larger it would not have worked, we are grateful the AC specs are perfect, it made the install a dream come true. I do agree with another review I read, in that the AC 6" ducting is a tight fit on their own product/flapper, although I got it to slip on, it was as tight as could be without being unworkable, but the bottom line is it went on. And it slipped over the existing 6" coupling tube to the roof perfectly. We will keep this company in mind when doing other projects, such as heating, vents, dryer etc, well worth the cost. Good quality and works as advertised. I had to saw off some of it to make it shorter so it would fit in my microwaves outside exhaust vent but it works. You can hear it close every time the vent shuts off.

This one worked excellent after trying two other brands. First perfect and blocks the draft as advertised. Well built and priced right.

Kind of difficult tp install with the AC infintiy 6" flex tubing. I wanted to put it online with my exhaust tube and boy was it not easy. I assume that most people want the dampner to keep cold air from coming from the outside to inside their tents? So why was it such a struggle to get the exhaust tubing even partly started onto it. Idk maybe I installed it at the wrong place. It does do a very good job at keeping cold air out. Almost too good now my tent went up about 12 degrees since I installed it.🤷

Well made. I use it for water fall spray booth and fits mine easy. I do have to use weather sealing tape to secure it to my booth.

Great fit rigid metal with nice rubber seals. It can be inserted directly into straight cut 6" rigid piping. I installed it vertically above my range hood, and it starts to open just enough on the lowest setting of 150cfm , but is fully open before I use the high fan setting of 350cfm. Seals up nice and tight when off - unlike the built in hood damper I was using before, which didn't really seal at all with 1/8" gaps around it.

Brilliant, sorted out the air coming into the property instantly! Felt warmer straight away, and looks very tidy and good quality. FOr the price of it as well, cant fault it at all.

From the moment I unboxed it, I was taken aback by the impeccable packaging - it's probably the best I've ever seen in my life. Pros: 1- Stellar Packaging: The packaging is so well-done that it adds to the overall experience of the product. It's clear that AC Infinity values its customers and wants to provide a premium unboxing experience. 2- High-Quality Material: The damper is made from alloy steel and aluminum, ensuring durability and longevity. 3- Versatile Installation: Whether you want to mount it horizontally or vertically, this damper is designed to prevent backflow and debris from entering your ducting efficiently. 4- Effective Design: The spring-loaded aluminum damper blades open with minimal airflow, ensuring optimal performance. Con: 1- Connection Issue: I did face a minor hiccup with the connection. I had a 6" fan, and even though I ordered the 6" damper, they didn't fit seamlessly. I had to resort to using duct tape to connect them. However, given the outstanding quality of the product, this was a minor inconvenience. In conclusion, the AC Infinity 6" Backdraft Damper has exceeded my expectations in every way. The quality, design, and even the packaging are top-tier. I wholeheartedly recommend this product to anyone in need of a reliable damper solution. It's a testament to AC Infinity's commitment to excellence.

Good quality, with light action and good grip on ventilation hose - better than many plastic ones that cost as much.
