Great bit of kit, I’ve mounted this on an oak porch connected to a huge carriage lantern and it works perfectly! The sensor activates the lantern from the end of the drive which I set up with ease. The whole connectivity, wiring and installation was straight forward and surprisingly easy for an amateur like me. It has been up now for few months through all sorts of extreme bad weather wet, dry, hot or cold and still works fine. Great value for money and would highly recommend.

Fitted and working well - simple to install

This is a very good PIR detector, with 1 star knocked off because there is no detection sensitivity setting - there is only the option (via the setting dials) to change time on, from a minimum of 10 seconds, and the light level sensitivity (day to night). I have it fitted to the underside of the soffit boards of a low roof, and facing the prevailing weather. The ability to mount it with the wires coming out of the top was very useful for me, and so far it has stood up to some extremely rainy days. I have it mounted facing the front gate which is about 4 metres from the road, and because of the lack of ability to set the detection sensitivity I have it pointed down at quite an angle to avoid being set off by passing cars the whole time. This negates the secondary PIR sensor on the bottom of the unit, but with a bit of trial and error I got it detect anyone coming through the gate, and also cars that stop by the front gate. Side to side range remains very good however, and it detects anyone leaving the front door about 5 m to the side. I don't have it set up to directly control a floodlight that I put right next to it - I have the PIR output connected to a switch input of a Shelly 2PM Gen 4 relay that then connects to Home Assistant, and have the light setting set to so that it detects motion at all times of day and night. That way I use it to tell me when someone comes through the gate - it's surprising how many couriers don't knock on the door very loudly and end up leaving because we have not heard them. To work with the Shelly device, I needed to connect a highish value (~330Kohm) 2W resistor between the L' of the detector and the switch input of the Shelly - as instructed by Shelly themselves - and having done this, it works perfectly. That said, I have programmed the Shelly to switch the floodlight on and off independently of Home Assistant, i.e. with local logic, and to do this between sunset and sunrise only. Overly complicated? Maybe, but it gives me a lot more control over the light than is possible with a direct connection of it to the PIR sensor.

These are easy to set-up for a single point of entry, and certainly waterproof. My electrician has cleverly incorporated 2 of these to work both patio/wall lights so that movement from either one will trigger both lights, and he put a light-switch inside to allow the lights to be turned on completely for outside illumination.

Good sensor if you do not want to limit its field of detection. There's NO distance settings. Placed above front door and I am on a corner plot with a public path about 6m away at side and front, have tilted sensor down a lot to stop forward detection but it still gets everyone on the side path, guess I am going to have to put sticky tape over part of sensor. Partly my fault for assuming all sensors have distance settings, my previous purchases all did,even cheap pir floods have distance.

WORKS! Better than buying a light with am in built sensor!

Bought this as an alternative to a floodlight with built in PIR. Better quality than those, in my opinion, and leaves the option to replace one or the other. Great item; would buy again

This item looks far more robust and well made than others that I have purchased. Easy enough to install, plenty of room for the wires. Because I have gone through a few of these I have wired this one back to an external junction box so replacing it will be quicker ( hopefully won't need to replace !!). It's all working and doing its job . My only grumble is that the screws holding the outer case to the back are tiny and very fiddly to screw in when you are up a ladder. The stainless steel they are made from is not magnetic either and they kept falling out before I could get the screw driver to them. I ended up using a couple of my own screws which are magnetic and stuck onto the end of my PZ1 screw driver much better .

Come oggetto si presenta bene sembra di qualita' molto bello nero e come aspetto , un po' diverso dai soliti . Semplice come montaggio al momento funziona bene , si vedra' nel tempo .

The sensor is quite good quality, however don't expect to have detection range at 12 meter as it is mentioned in the description. The range however is approximately 8 meters maximum.

Détecteur petit, discret et très efficace. La portée de détection est comme dans la description, 12m. L'appareil est petit et donc discret mais tout aussi performant. Notice suffisamment claire, pas de soucis d'installation. Il est très sensible aux mouvements. De plus la durée d'éclairage est réglable. Chez moi, ce détecteur ommande des lampes LED, c'est parfait. La qualité y est, bien conçu. L'étanchéité devrait être parfaite, tout est prévu pour empêcher l'eau d'y entrer. De part sa petitesse, c'est un peu serré pour y cacher tous les fils mais facilement faisable. Attention à bien respecter la polarité. Si la polarité n'est pas respectée, il ne fonctionne pas mais surtout cela ne l'endommage pas.
