Great all round detector took it out 4 times now and was really suprised at the depth it found some items.

This thing is absolutely amazing. It has features top of the line detectors has and for the price its a steal. The depths are fantastic, it's finding capabilities are amazing. This is definately a detector for beginners and even for advanced users. It is a great detector to use on the beach. It works so well on wet sand too. Can't heap enough praise on the minelab 540 vanquish. Definately worth the money and then some. I will be sticking to minelab products and the detector is the first thing I've bought in their range so far

Easy to use if weather is fine. Be patient a lot of people expect to find treasure straight away, remember this a marathon that takes years just enjoy the views, country side and the therapeutic effect and the treasure will come

The Vanquish 540 pro pack is a great upper entry level detector. With two coils it's value for money too.

Metal detecting, just getting used to this machine , its very easy to use with the presets switch it on and go, just dig everything until yu get used to the tones and numbers displayed.

Bought this for a present , they were really delighted with it so much so his son wanted one as well . Said it even better than some of the dearer ones he had .

I bought this as a step up from my Garrett Ace 300 and Nokta Simplex+. The Simplex+ is okay, but I like it because it is 100% water proof and inexpensive, the Ace 300 does pretty good...it finds stuff. This is another level above both though. I took it out and found quite a few more coins than I normally do with either of the other detectors and the batteries were only about 1/3 drained after about 6 hours. It is light weight and work very well. Australian consumer protection laws make for a very good quality and warranty, do yourself a favor and buy one!

Don't know a ton about metal detecting as it's been awhile. I wanted one due to living in a history Rich area and being a person who loves finds of the past. It's a bit of a learning curve for tones being what's what. But very simple functions. Has rain cover for the control to protect from the elements. Was easy to set up out the box. Can tune out the junk etc. So far happy with the purchase
