Indian Head Old Fashioned Stone Ground Yellow Corn Meal 2 lb, 2 Pack

I found this in Vermont but my local stores don't carry it. This is hands down, the best yellow cornmeal you can get. It's great for polenta or cornbread or any other recipe that calls for yellow cornmeal.

This is good corn meal and makes very good cornmeal muffins as well as other products. We really like this corn meal and we will be ordering more when we need it.

I love the taste of this cornmeal and that it comes in 2-pack of 32 Oz, (2Lb). The corn is lightly grounded. I believe this is my third or fourth time purchasing this product. I love cooking with it.

Those of us in SE Texas - Lamb's Stone Ground Cornmeal was the best and I have only used Lamg's for the last 25+ years. However, Lamb's product and packaging was reduced by almost half, and the cost was 4x more.. in these last few years. I have been on a search for a replacement product that still had the flavor and coarseness that I like / and will only use. This Indian Head is the next best to Lamb's brand. FYI - The cornmeal is shipped as 2 / 1 LB containers = for a TOTAL of 2 lbs. of product. **I would have rated a 5 Star - except the description leads one to believe this price is for 2 - 2 LB packages. A bit misleading in the description. Makes great cornbread in my cast iron skillet.

This product very much reminds me of something my grandmother would have and probably did use when baking. Good texture, excellent coloring, a solid, rugged flavor to bring back memories of when food quality was high and taste actually meant something.
