For months I've had 1u router, smart switch and power strip sitting on my desk and they were always in the way, taking up more room than needed. When I found this desktop rack I figured I'd try it, but based on the price I wasn't expecting it to be extremely stable and that was fine for my use case. The package arrived on time and was packaged well enough to avoid shipping damages for sure. When I started unboxing, the first thing I noticed was the quality of the parts were heavier than I was expecting. I was able to put this together quickly, without instructions, taking approximately 10-15 minutes, and, I had never put together a rack before. Because the rack is so stable, I decided to order the shelf for the top. Not only is the shelf handy and made of the same quality, it hides all the wires making the rack aesthetically pleasing because. Now I have far more room on my desk, I can manage the network hardware without worrying about tangeled wires and it looks pro sitting on my desk :) Yes, I would spend the money and buy this rack (and they're shelf as well.)

Bought this for some Ubiquiti gear at my house. Didn't want to "borrow" any full sized rack gear from work. I just needed a couple spaces for router and switch, and I didn't want to spend more on the rack than the gear in it. This little guy is rock-sturdy and sits flat. Those two things are hard to come by in affordable items like this. I have owned a few different ones. The only downside, and I think a minor one, is that the instructions are not completely clear on how it fits together. The kicker there is that it could fit together in a few different ways. Once you analyze it a bit, it makes sense to fit together only one way. Just took a couple minutes of staring at it. For the money, buy it. You won't get better for the price.

C'mon, y'all. This isn't Ikea furniture, here. There are only 5 pieces and the exact amount of screws you need. Had this together without the instructions in 5 minutes. Everything only fits one way. And, because I had wondered and no photos were showing this, here is a side view of a Cisco C3750G-48PS-S, which is 17 inches deep, mounted in slot 2. So, if you want to mount deep things, stick to slots 2, 3, and 4. I am only populating 2 and 4 for better air flow. This will work perfectly for my needs, sitting on top of 5-foot wire rack shelving in my data closet. Seems like no dnager to tip backwards, due to the angle. Can't beat the price. Great table-top rack.

This is my 3rd StarTech Rack Product, and this desktop rack meets expectations for my testing needs to have a location to physically mount network gear for testing. Assembly took ~15 minutes. Instructions could be better as the brackets while labeled left and right overlap in the assembly and can be assembled in the wrong order, which can affect the rail spacing slightly. Also, good to have a small speed square on hand to confirm that the assembly is straight.

For the pricing, I think this is a good buy for my needs. My only gripe is the directions that come with it are pretty basic.

Using it to hold some desktop switches and a PDU, it's sturdy, low profile, and fits on a shorter depth desk without issue. Assembly took a few minutes, no issues with the hole sizing for the unit.

would've been perfect for a table server rack had I needed one

Sturdy and well made, the quality of the product exceeds my expectations. Excellent packaging provided ensured my product arrived undamaged. After a quick and easy assembly, the rack was filled and put to use. Surprisingly, I preferred the mounting hardware included with the rack over the hardware provided by my premium product. Not a single disappointment.

Un rack pequeño y sencillo pero bastante resistente y robusto. Le caben 4 módulos estándar de 19 pulgadas, que es como lo estoy utilizando (dos procesadores de efectos, una patcbay y un multicontacto). Sin embargo si son módulos de doble altura (tipo JV1080) solo le quedarán 2, revisa bien que tipo de módulos son los que quieres instalar, hay otra versión 8U que es de 8 módulos u ocho unidades, también de 19 pulgadas. Me gustó que trae todas las tuercas y tornillos para hacere la instalación de los módulos.

From the moment I opened the box and saw the ‘no expense spared’ on the packaging to protect the product, I knew that was going to be a high quality product and I wasn’t wrong. Manufactured from steel material with a decent thickness, it’s certainly not thin, weak or flimsy. It comes with all of the cage nuts and screws require to fill the four positions and quality screws and screw rivets to ensure a sturdy, quality build. Instructions were comprehensive and not just a cheap, single page, faded photocopy. Highly recommended if you want a quality, sturdy and professional looking compact 19” rack setup.

Super easy to put together and comes with rack screws! Well built and very cool looking. The only thing I wish I could ask for is washers to prevent rack wear on the back of the rack wings. Other than that, it's great. I live in Japan and bought this on Amazon Japan, but the instructions are in English so be aware of that.

My requirement was for a small rack to sit on top of a wardrobe with limited space and generally out of sight to hold a switch for cabling coming exiting from loft space. This fitted the bill perfectly although not cheap. However build quality is excellent and on putting together is very strong and sturdy. Even the packaging is some of the best I've seen with each part wrapped in protective cover and boxed as if delicate. Dropped a star for value as I feel this could be slightly cheaper for what is basically 5 metal parts bolted together. But overall I am very happy.
