I just used this on a snorkeling trip to the Great Barrier Reef. I have to say that this is a very good product: sturdy, comfortable, and does exactly what you'd want a good mask to do - keep out the water. I liked the GoPro mount. We have several cameras and this was an excellent way to get a lot of background footage of the dive overall. As others have noted, this isn't really good for close-ups, but is great for recording the big picture. Combining this with another camera on a selfie stick allowed us to dive freely without missing all of the amazing things happening within our field of view. The camera mount is sturdy, and the angle is easy enough to figure out with a bit of test footage. We simply started recording once in the water, and let it run until we got back on the boat... no real concerns about missing footage. My wife and I verified the flashing light from time to time, and all was good. I would definitely recommend this product as long as you know the limitations that a fixed-position camera will put on capturing your overall experience.

Seems to be good quality. However it does pretty so hard on the bridge of my nose I cant use it. Everything else seems legit on it though

I bought this for my honeymoon in Hawaii and was pretty excited to use it, the mask fits nice no leaks, overall a great mask! Now when I put my GoPro onto the mask it worked perfectly GoPro didn’t move to much and I thought it would work, well I’m now on my honeymoon and I hook up my GoPro to snorkel and my GoPro is moving up and down and not tight, it’s unfortunate because it seemed like a good product until I needed it!

I have a X4 360 camera and a TG6. I really wanted to film me scuba diving. However, I don’t have a lot of dives so I’m not ready to focus on holding onto and positioning a camera. I thought I could just strap the camera to my face. Hit record on the surface and only have to focus on it not falling. I could also put a strap from the camera to my shoulder just in case it did fall. I read a lot of reviews and thought I’d take a chance on the Octomask even though it was bit pricier. The other’s seemed much cheaper made, per the reviews. The Octomask is made for a GoPro but my X4 cases fit into the mount of the mask. It did move a little bit but this was resolved by applying the little sticky circle things that came with my X4 to the waterproof case. The camera totally stayed on during 5 dives just great. One time it moved forward, pointing the camera down instead of straight ahead. I felt it happen and moved it back into place just fine. I loved the point of view of the 360 videos and it was easy to convert those to normal videos easy because it moved along with me. The one drawback with the 360 video was if I turned all the way around the video showed my forehead. But it’d work great for 180 or normal video. After having it for 8 months one of the pins fell out that connected the mas k to the strap. I couldn’t find the pin. I contacted Octomask customer service. Within a day they got back to me and are sending me a new one. I loved the mask and the customer service. The only thing I don’t like about the mask is it seems like there is no way to change out the silicone strap. The strap is great for a silicone one though.

UPDATE: Bought this mask not for a GoPro but for my Orcatorch light for lobster hunting at night. The light came with a head strap but it kept sliding back so I was afraid I’d lose it. Found the Octomask with the GoPro mount and figured I’d give it a shot since it was on sale. I tested it out on a morning dive just to see the feel and fit. The mask itself is ok. You do not notice that there is a flashlight attached to the mount. I was concerned it would be heavy and cause the mask to leak but it was fine. Overall the mask is ok but for some reason, the glass seems to get distorted underwater giving me a dizzy feeling at times. This has never happened with my 3 other masks I used without a GoPro mount. Has something to do with the glass. Also I noticed when the interior of mask skirt gets wet, it becomes slippery because the skirt is so soft. It’s not bad but just something to be aware of if you end up clearing the mask or if someone bumps it. Probably works great for free diving but for one hour plus scuba dives, it may get annoying. I plan to keep it but will try a different brand from my local dive shop.

I bought these for my snorkeling trip to key west, for the $$ I didn’t have high hopes but was really impressed with the fit and quality. The only complaint (and it’s very minor) is the mount for the camera is close to the mask and can make it tight for certain mounting screws that go pro have used. But that is almost negligible

Love this mask! It takes some getting used to to get the angle of the camera right, but the quality of the mask is excellent. It fits nice and snug to my face and it does not leak.

questa maschera per immersioni ha il principale scopo di montare la gropo e quello lo fa bene, tutto il resto è un assoluto disastro. Faccio immersioni da più di dieci anni e MAI ho avuto a che fare con una maschera che si appannasse SEMPRE. Non importa che temperature, non importa che trattamento gli si possa fare alle lenti interne. Inoltre la cornice che dovrebbe aderire al viso è fatta di una gomma cosi sottile da far entrare sempre acqua a meno che non si entri in acqua senza muovere un capello. Veramente un prodotto fatto male.

Good quality facemask and Go Pro attachment works perfectly. Used it for four dives off Tionan Island in August.

Love this mask!

Great for recreational use. Not so much professional diving.
