CanDo 10-0903 TheraPutty Standard Hand Exercise Putty, Firm, 2oz

Broke my arm and my hip at the same time. The putty helped me get the use of my left hand and arm back. I started with the lightest in the rehab and continued to the heaviest at home. Works really well

I have the Blue/Firm putty, which is perfect for playing with and exercising my hands while listening to conference calls at work. I consider myself an intermediate sport-climber (I climb once or twice a week - mostly 5.10s of various sorts) and while nothing beats time on the wall for general strengthening the theraputty lets me do something during otherwise unproductive down-time (especially on non-climbing days). Hang-boards are awesome but prone to over-work and not nearly as convenient. Playing with the putty is fun (and stress relieving). Actually doing the exercises seems the way to genuinely get strength out of it - there are plenty of these online which can easily be found via google. I find that the Blue/Firm putty feels just a bit tougher than a medium tension (7 lb per finger) Prohands Gripmaster when just squeezing it - though with the diversity of exercises available with the putty (especially hand-expansion exercises which rock climbing and gripmasters don't train) it can be just a touch more strenuous. Basically: if you have a bit of the specialized grip-strength that comes from gymnastics, rock climbing or other grip-related sport/training then I'd say blue is the way to go. If you're comfortable and familiar with exercising with hang-boards etc then I'd probably try the black. If you're just starting on grip-strength training I'd probably go with the green. 6oz of the putty is just a bit less then a tennis ball and is about how much you need to really do a lot of the full-hand exercises for smaller adult hands. Someone with large hands might want 8 oz. The small portions really seem aimed at kids or some of the smaller single-finger exercises. It doesn't stick to anything unless you leave it sitting for a while. Dropping it on the carpet is fine - but if you leave it on fabric, carpet, or something fuzzy for a long duration it may start to try to integrate with it. Basically this is specifically dense/thick neatly-colored silly putty and will behave as such.

I use this at work with students (and for myself) as a paraprofessional. I find that the consistency is great for building fine motor skills as well as being a useful fidget to stim with. It doesn’t get stuck in clothes or carpet like playdoh which is awesome!

This putty was perfect for what I needed for therapy. It's not sticky, it is easy to use, and durable. The size is perfect for what I needed for therapy! It was very effective and proved to be a great value for the cost!

Works well, but leaves a "greasy" residue on your hands.

Was looking for a putty for using for stress relief. This Thera Putty is really good. I got the 3 ounce container. I think the 3oz or 4oz would be the best size. Looks like its from a German company and manufactured in the USA. I got the firm which give you the perfect pull and stretch therapy. I would highly recommend this. I would say any one wanting to get this to look at leaning more on the firmer side based on what you feel the type of resistance you want.

My child needs to strengthen their hands and this was recommended by their therapist. It basically feels and acts like silly putty but it's much firmer and thicker, making it so little hand muscles have to work harder. Both my child and I like to use this so we leave it on the table for daily therapy.

À tout adepte du modélisme cette pâte peut être utiliser pour masquer la peinture lors des opérations à l'aérographe ou à la bombe de peinture. La pâte a une bonne tenue ce qui signifie qu'elle épouse les formes sans coller au support ce qui est génial quand il faut la retirer. J'ai lu dans d'autres avis qu'elle est un peu huileuse ce qui est vrai (dans une moindre mesure) à la livraison. Après l'avoir malaxé pendant quelques minutes l'apparence huileuse disparaît absorbé par la pâte. J'estime que la pâte est réutilisable une bonne quantité de fois et devrait durer longtemps. Je n'ai noté aucun résidus huileux laissé sur la maquette par la pâte mais je suis sûr que ça partirait avec un peu d'alcool isopropylique si résidus il y avait. J'ai utilisé une petite portion pendant plusieurs heures de pulvérisation et la couleur avait à peine changé très légèrement. Une fois mélangé avec le reste de la pâte la couleur d'origine était totalement restauré. En fait la quantité de peinture piégé doit être tellement infime qu'il ne doit pas y en avoir beaucoup dans la pâte au final. En résumé la pâte peut facilement être utilisé pour un usage de masquage malgré un aspect légèrement huileux à la livraison qui disparaît par la suite. Il semble que la pâte soit réutilisable un grand nombre de fois même si je ne l'ai encore utilisé que sur une seule maquette.
