I bought two different sets and two different brands today. This set, the Franklin set, was leas money and it’s the set I chose so I could send to my son’s school to replace their peeling paddles for before and after care. The ones on the right in the photo with four paddles, I got for my son’s personal use at home, thinking they would be a better quality because they were more expensive. The first observation is the aesthetics. These paddles are sharp looking, clean and crisp design. You can see see the ribbed backing on the other brand has annoying imperfections. The Franklin’s look like they were made well. The wood handle has a nice grip. I also honestly feel like the bounce of the ball is better with these. The backs are not warped at all. All in all, the price is a steal, especially considering what they were bought for. Now the true test will be how they stand up to the use of 5-12 year olds!😅

For the price, this is a good buy for a family that occasionally loses or breaks the ping pong balls while using the paddles on a regular basis. I do not know if there are higher tiers of quality for ping pong balls, but these seem like every other kind we have ever owned. There is no noticeable difference. The paddles on the other hand seem to be made out of cheaper material. They make a hollow sound on contact. However, the rubber hasn't peeled away after about 100 uses and they are holding up just fine. The glue to secure the handles has remained sturdy as well, which was the issue with our last set. Overall, this is a good product for the money. I imagine I'll be ordering it again by the end of the year given how often we play.

Great affordable ping pong set. Good grip and the paddles are holding up well after a lot of playtime. We just needed something we could grab and go to the local recreation center and now we don't have to borrow their equipment and can use our own balls and paddles.

They’ve been fun to use, and for the price, I am glad I purchased them (2 rackets, 2 balls, great value!). I do have 2 issues with the rackets: 1. Very little padding. This limits control, as the ball just bounces off the wood. With more padding, you can control the speed of the game. 2. Tape holding padding tends to fall off. I find myself securing the tape multiple times when I see the edges falling off. Overall, if you’re just looking to have fun at a party, or not play that often, these will get the job done, but if you are looking to play more often than that, I would go with a higher quality pair.
