My sons were surprised. They liked their gift, as it goes way back in years.

This is the second one I purchased as I'm looking for one that has sustained movement and works synchronously. This one is better than my first and the individual balls have moderate weight so it has sustained movement for less than a minute. It works n stand is sufficient for purpose of demonstration. If looking for a more precise n sustained movement, I'd suggest one with much heavier balls but you'll probably have to pay lots more. This one is good for the purchase price.

You probably know how these work and it does exactly what you expect. It's a nice solid weight and the balls are heavy, so they transmit the force from one to another well. One thing that sets it apart is the version I bought features 7 balls, rather than the 5 they typically have. Shows the motion transfer well, and you can do things like swing 2 or 3 balls and see the reaction. Fun to play with!

It only takes about 30 seconds for the balls to stop moving each way. I was was expecting longer.

Great gift for anyone! My 18 yr old nephew loved it as a gag gift since I tutored him in physics. I want one for my work desk. Great quality without being over priced. Comes with a spare ball too!

Bought the CERROPI Newton’s Cradle Pendulum as a gift for my teen son, and I’m happy to report it has survived teenage handling (which is saying something). It now lives on his desk and is used equally for “studying,” stress relief, and dramatic staring while procrastinating. The clicking sound is oddly satisfying, the motion is mesmerizing, and it makes him feel both scientific and deep—like he’s contemplating physics… or what to eat next. It’s sturdy, well made, and somehow calming, even when homework is not. Great little gift for teens, science lovers, or anyone who needs an excuse to stop working and stare at swinging balls for a minute. Would absolutely buy again.
