Envelope styles are best option ... other than that these feel so comfortable
I don't know if it helps hair & skin. What I do know is that if it's not envelope style the pillow slips out. I love the colors & the feel. I can't recall any unusual odor before washing & certainly none after washing. They fit well & feel smooth on the skin.

Just as described- perfect! So soft and cool. Perfect for me as I get hot when I sleep and we have heavy covers on the bed because the Mr is always cold. Highly recommend.
