I had to unbolt the filter housing and tip it sidewise to even get it started. Even then once started it turned on very hard. Don't think it was cross threaded but it did make me wonder. Doesn't seem to leak with electric pump pressure so far. I wouldn't want to get one like this and change it out in the field or in the cold. Lucky I installed it as good procedure after changing 7.3 Idi injector pump and return lines.
