As a dietitian (medically-qualified nutrition expert), I have a lot of patients who get dry mouth or never keep a toothbrush around them. This mouthwash fits my criteria for a good mouthwash for just about anyone. Why? It is alcohol-free, so it won't dry out the mouth or harm the helpful flora that reside in your mouth. It uses cetylpyridinium chloride, which research shows is just (if not more) effective than alcohol-based washes. This stuff sort of bonds to gunk in your mouth (precipitates) and you spit it out in darker strands and globs. I like this better than the myriad of other cc-based washes because it adds fluoride, which is important for strengthening tooth structure. Fun fact: Fluoride is not a government conspiracy to X. It's actually naturally present in rivers and other water sources. Scientists had observed that these folks, despite their suspicions of interfamily breeding, had remarkably good teeth. Bottom line: Until they start producing equivalent generic versions of this (and if they have, somebody please link me), then this is the best game in town.

stings only the tiniest, tiniest amount compared to other mouthwashes which, if you just play through the mild discomfort, just goes away in a few moments anyways. the flavor isn't something I'd like ever willfully want food or drink to taste like, but as far as detergents or disinfectants for your mouth go, it ain't bad at all.... and I really feel like it cleans my mouth. it feels refreshing. I actually use this cut 50-50 with water in a water-flosser/waterpik machine, too, that I use BEFORE I brush. I feel like it knocks everything loose, and then brushing gets it all out) with an electric, rotary motion, soft-bristled toothbrush. The braun bluetooth brush, if you're looking for one, is what I recommend. It's got crazy features like you can brush in the mirror and set your phone next to you or hold with one hand while you brush, and it'll tell you the areas you missed or don't brush well, it sounds stupid but it's actually pretty cool just to know what you're f'ing up so you can make adjustments. After water flossing and brushing, then I use the undiluted mouthwash to rise it all away, and don't eat for 30 mins afterwards. Since I've been doing that, every time I go to the dentist they always say "wow! you've been doing a great job brushing! keep it up, everything looks great!" which is something no dentist had EVER said to me, my entire life. I'm 36, was a heavy smoker for 15 years, and get told I have a very healthy mouth each time I go, and I only brush once a day in the morning. That's it. It takes legit 6 minutes, 2 min on each thing, and other than that I don't do anything crazy. To be fair, the dentist only started saying that to me AFTER I started using the rotary electric brush and flossing with a waterpik cut 50/50 with this stuff, and finishing with a rinse of this stuff. Can I attribute it all to glory to this stuff? Nope. Can I say that it HASN'T been because of this stuff, either? Nope. Am I going to change to try to figure that out? Nope. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I found something that works for me, and I don't change it. Took me 30 years to figure it out, so maybe this info will help someone else before they spend 30 years of not getting "atta boy"s from their dentist to start getting them every time. Just remember, the fronts of your teeth usually get the stuff knocked off 'em throughout the day-- it's the gumline all around the tooth you wanna get, or so my dentist has told me. I am not a dentist. However, I can speak from my experience with this stuff, and after water flossing and brushing specifically where the tooth meets the gums, then using this stuff to rinse everything away, my oral health hasn't ever been better. Not for nothin, but even after brushing with an electric brush, and water flossing, you wouldn't think there could be anything left that this stuff could possibly get and rise away at the very end, and sometimes there isn't, but 90% of the time this stuff'll get the last little bit stuck in your teeth or somehow escaped the brushing and flossing. Recommend for sure.

Because of a pulmonary issue, the pandemic caused my wife and me to avoid going out very much. So, we didn't go to a dentist for an extended period of time. To avoid dental issues, we brushed our teeth and used mouthwash in the morning, after every meal, and at night. During the three years we did not go to the dentist, neither of us had any dental problems. When we started going back to a dentist, we were both told our teeth and gums are in very good condition. This mouthwash also tastes better than others I've tried.

I went to the dentist thinking I needed a cavity filled. My dentist told me I had weakened enamel. After a few bottles of this stuff my tooth no longer hurts when eating sweets.

The purple Enamel rinse is excellent. I don't like the taste of the green mint version very much, and it temporarily stained my teeth. But the purple enamel rinse tastes great and doesn't stain. The website says it's mint, but it isn't-- it is more of a lite cinnamon flavor. Just ordered a second bottle.
