It's chalk and it works well with blackboards or similar surfaces. Chalk is fragile by nature and chalk does produce a small amount of dust depending upon how you use it.

Good quality chalk! Only complaint is the box is a little hard to open but they are stored nicely in Styrofoam to keep them from breaking

Good price and set but the chalk breaks super easy. I know most chalk does break or can but this seems to break easier than other chalk. But for the price, you’re getting a pretty good deal for all you’re getting.

Chalk is chalk. It writes/scribbles without leaving a dusty trail everywhere. The comes in white and colored. The eraser works well but a bit large for small hands. The chalk is dustless but when dropped by the littles it shatters easily leaving little bits laying around. When walked on becomes dust.

For the most part it worked as it should. There were a couple of the colored chalks that actually didnt work at all, as crazy as that sounds, and im not sure how to explain it When id try to write/draw with some of them, nothing showed up. It was almost like they were hard or maybe waxy, I cant describe it. It was a little disappointing because I was looking forward to having a variety of colors that the typical box of chalk doesnt have, but when 2 or 3 of those colors cant be used, its pointless. I can get chalk at dollar tree for $1.25 that also has a box of colors and a box of white, just a smaller variety of colors, but at least they all work. I tried breaking the end off, thinking maybe it was just the ends, but it didnt work no matter where I broke it off at. The ones that did work, work fine just like chalk should. I wouldn't buy again though.
