Hey Wendytime, Thanks for your question. As a general rule, we recommend you that you change the filter cartridges every 6-8 weeks. However, sliders generate more waste than fish and as a result, you should change the media more often. Your tank conditions will dictate how often they should be changed, but figure around every 3-4 weeks.
