Taste is Great and scent is amazing Never expect like this good.

I use these simply to eat as is. Cinnamon is said to have health benefits. I enjoy the taste which is different from store bought cinnamon (imitation). I can see why people would say it taste like bark. It has a lighter taste that is less spicey. You also get a large amount with both small and larger quills.

I purchased these cinnamon sticks after reading the reviews. I fast and like to drink hot water with cinnamon sticks. First they had no cinnamon aroma, second no matter how long I left the stick in the hot water they didn't leave the slightest flavor of cinnamon. I wrote the company and the replied very quickly saying they are the finest cinnamon sticks and I shouldn't compare them to others. I had told them that other brands from the grocery store were better at a far lower price. They explained the difference between cinnamon (Ceylon and Cassia). They offered no refund. I wish I hadn't trusted the reviews because I purchased the double bag. Now I am stuck with too much, and for the price!!!!! ugh oh well.... Guess I will be going back to McCormick or even a generic brand.

Healthy for you, but IT'S BARK! Recommend you buy a fine grinder and experiment mixing it into foods or liquids to make it more palatable.

I feel like the general reviews on these being either amazing or having a chemical smell are accurate. The first of the three bags I used (I just break up the cinnamon sticks and eat them for my stomach) was spectacular, one of the best cinnamon sticks I’ve had, I was blown away, the smell and the taste was spectacular. Unfortunately the second and third bag when I opened them had a really strong chemical spell, as well as a faint trace of vinegar. The taste for these two bags was unlike the first, they faintly tasted like cinnamon but overwhelming tasted like chemical/plastic? I aired them out for a few days on my counter and it helped some but not much. I’m not sure if my bag was a one off, I’ll probably get this brand one more time before I move on to see if it happens again, the first bag was really spectacular. (The pictures are about two weeks old from this posting) Update May 2022: I will change my rating from 3/5 stars to 5/5 stars. Little of a late update. When I posted my review the company reached out to me and apologized promptly from my posting and immediately offered an exchange. I just finished the replacement bag they sent and everything was delightful. I just placed a new order for this Ceylon cinnamon. If you have any issues, I strongly suggest you reach out to them. Side note: Ceylon is supposed to have a more gentle fragrance than the other species, the aroma isn’t as intense but if you break it or grind it, the aroma blooms beautifully and goes great in mulled wine or toasted before grinding in curry.

Compared to other cinnamons which I have ordered in the past, Ceylon's Finest True Alba Cinnamon is superior in smell, taste and freshness. I will definitely be re-ordering this product in the future.

It's pleasing to buy cinnamon and it actually smells strong and delightful.

Great cinnamon. I use these to make cinnamon tea. They are spicy and sweet. Very fresh and aromatic. Highly recommend.
