Has all the info I need
Just acquired my first Harley and it has been in our family since 1978. Being 26 I don’t have the first hand experience with this motor and this has answered all my questions on how to repair. Great directions and diagrams and easy to find chapters and index’s make it easy to look up whatever you need

An Industry Standard
Always great. All their fix-it guides do a wonderful job explaining things to the fledgling mechanic.

I should send my Haynes manual back, this is much better.
I have a Haynes manual and even have a factory shop manual for my 79 FLH 1200. The Haynes is pretty worthless for model specific pictures or even diagrams.and I read it when I need to get some sleep. The shop manual is the gold standard. The clymer is way above the Haynes and slightly below the shop manual. The clymer has lots of model specific exploded diagrams, model specific instructions for the repair/overhaul procedures and model specific pictures of the procedures. In fact the ones in the Clymer are the same ones in the Harley shop manual. I pull this more often than the shop book because it usually covers what I need to do in sufficient detail so I can pretend to actually know what I'm doing when I take on a procedure.

must have
If you gonna work on your bike you need one of these. I have referred to it many times over the last 25 years. This is my second manual as the old one was getting pretty ratty. It has lots of photos, is written in text that isn't hard to understand & the wiring diagrams are in color. My old one was black & white. Whether it's a repair or a rebuild it has a wealth of information to keep you on the right track.

Handy to have and shovelheads can walk these new motors if you build them right
If you like working on your own bike and can turn some wrenches it's good to have this book I rebuilt my motor changed cams and can haul azz now without taking my bike to a shop at the mercy of there mechanics and my bank account. There's a pride in those that can fix there own things and this book helps you in that journey

Just as good as the original Harley manual, if not better.

Can't live without it. Everything you need to know about your bike, and even more. Anyone who have been strugling with Harleys, know that the Clymer's manuals are irreplaceable.
