EK1-214 Tank Bag/Saddle Bag Multi-Port Charging Station, Black/Silver

You can spend 3 or 4 times the price easily on getting power to your tank bag. I go touring annually so this does not get daily use but does get beaten up over a two week period. The product is a little cheap feeling but hey it is cheap. Charging through 3 lighter connections and 2 USBs you will never run out of space. I would recommend this and I will replace it 3 or 4 times before spending more on the other brands.

Does not come with the piece that attaches to the battery.

I installed it in my motorcycle tank bag. I run the Gopro and GPS, charge batteries for the camera or charge the phone. It's a great item to have.

It never worked and I already put the hole in my tank bad to connect it :( now I have a tank bag with a hole and no power

I will qualify the low review with this : I hooked it all up and the LED light comes on, but when I attach the USB connection to my Droid cell phone I get the message on my phone that it is not charging. The only thing I can figure is that I connected it to the battery through the quick connect plug already installed for my "Battery Tender Jr." and did not use the battery quick connect that came with the unit. What I think might be the problem is there might be a polarity to the positive/negative connection that is reversed for charging a battery compared to drawing power off the battery to power this unit; thereby causing the USB to have the positive and negative reversed. I am going to reverse the connections to the battery terminals and test my theory to see if this fixes the problem. If it doesn't, then the unit is faulty, however if it does then I will change my review.
