Love this!!! We did it on our patio and is was so easy to light and cook on. We can’t wait to use this again! Very portable and easy to use. Gets hot like a normal grill for up to 60 minutes of grill time! Cool to use at park or on a boat or if you just don’t wanna fire up your charcoal grill at home. Easy to light and it stayed lit regardless of juice from meat, etc! Cook well with light wind as well. Box doesn’t get hot underneath so it’s rather safe as well! Love it!

I love this grill! I wanted something small and easy to cook weekday meals for my husband and I. And for our upcoming beach trip. Something easy to use and clean with portability. This is it!Here's what I wish someone would have told me before I bought this grill (because if I had known I would have bought it much sooner!) The pods are expensive and so are the pod refill sleeve. If I had to rely only on their refills I would not like this product. Also because the grill doesn't get super hot, it doesn't last a longtime and didn't get extra flavor. But I figured out how to use one sleeve with natural mesquite charcoal pieces and I get everything I want. I get hot coals that last a bit longer and it becomes much more affordable to use with nice mesquite flavor. (I don't use more than a 4 pieces of mesquite.) I don't really care about their grill warranty. The grill has actually been improving with use the way I use it. If I could speak directly to Hero grill company people I would say figure out how to offer a wood charcoal that's affordable.All of that aside, it's great and everyone should have one!

The item is very convenient and everything can be put together and start cooking in 5 minutes. However, the paper box is flimsy and I just lost the top. Also, when I dumped the used ash out, the charcoal tray broke. Not sure if it can be used again.

I wasn't aware when I purchased that this was a one-use time kit. I was simply looking for a portable grill. I nought this in 2020 because the person I was gifting to moved to LA with nowhere to essentially grill except a very tiny patio. I have repurchased for myself and mistakenly didn't realize the case didn't come with mine so be sure to get the case otherwsie its basically not portable and you don't get the cutting board or lighter unless you get the case. Which is annoying. I recommend to purchase with the expectation of trying to figure out how to hack the cardboard for regular charcoal to make it worth it tbh. or look into getting the hexagonal charcoal, their charcoal is too expensive. I think this is really expensive for a one time use situation.

I take this grill to the lake every time we go. It’s super lightweight, and portable. The charcoal is easy to light, but you need to have a candle lighter or some type of butane lighter to get it going. After use, I wrap the grill up in some type of grocery store plastic sack, and put it back in the case for transport back home as I don’t want the grill to get the transport case dirty. The grill is super easy to clean. The charcoal pod replacements may be considered expensive by some people, but it’s cheaper than taking the entire family to a restaurant at the marina to eat. I cook either precooked frozen burgers, or hot dogs. This grill set up is all about convenience for me, and saving money. It’s the best grill I have ever used, and I don’t have a single bad thing to say about it.

I bought my first grill and pods prepackaged in the insulated box at the store. I did not know about the organized carrying case. I bought the whole organized kit through Amazon and I love it. Now that I know I can buy individual packages of pods for the insulated box to reuse, this is even better. I just wish that the pods were a little cheaper. I think they're next kit should have a organized area for caring the packages of pods also. Cooking on this grill makes absolutely perfect grilled chicken and corn on the cob. Went camping with my grandson and he ate all the chicken and I only got one bite because, he said, it was the best he's ever had. Before putting your food on the grill, be sure to wait for the pods to turn white. Perfect grill for a single person or maybe two people.

Excelente inversión, me super encanto,fácil de encender, fácil de usar, facil de lavar,los accesorios son bastante buenos de muy buena calidad el fuego aguanto perfecto,ase 1/2lb. de costillas dos chuletas ahumadas, un filete grueso y chiles asados y 2 salchichas y aguanto perfecto el termometro es perfecto, no pierdes tiempo en ver sibya eata listo el carbon llegando a los 400 es perfecto para poner tu carne,viene en un maletin de buena calidad, yo estaba dudosa en comprarla por los comentarios de algunas personas, pero creame si buscan algo fácil de llevar, de limpiar y de encender hasta para tres personas es perfecto yo estoy muy contenta muy buena compra los 100 dls mejor gastados en Amazon. Otro detalle que aun no se es si se pueda usar otra vez el carbón porque no se hace ceniza como el otro carbon yo solo lo apague con agua como decia el insteuctivo.

I thought this would be really cool to augment my gas grill and get that charcoal flavor on my grilled food. I set it up, lit the coals (they light really weird, just kinda spark at first) and then put up with the awful smell. My wife came on the patio and we both agreed we were not going to cook food on something that stinks so bad. Kinda chemically if that is a word. Also don't expect the tray to last more than one use regardless of being gentle with it. Mine cracked in half.
