You will love this rifle!
This puzzle by far has been the most technical, challenging, detailed, intricate and rewarding build that I have done so far out of about a dozen. Building this requires complete attention with no distractions as it is easy to go off track doing some of the repetitive sections like the grip. After one page off I had to take the grip totally apart and start over. My fault. Fold the book leaving only one page visible at a time to keep the process in order. Instructions were easy to understand. Wax, wax, wax. If in doubt, wax. To save your fingertips wax every toothpick and use a plastic headed jewelers hammer to gently tap the toothpicks home. I used a snipper to cut the toothpicks even. A small punch is handy if you need to pop out a toothpick that's no good. A crochet hook helps to catch and seat the bands. Wax all edges of the bullets. Loading 12 was too tight to launch but loading 10 launched them 15' down the hallway. All in all an excellent experience with very sturdy, thick wooden punchouts. Nothing fragile about this baby. I didn't break one piece! I wouldn't recommend for a child without supervision/help because too intricate. You will love this wooden rifle!

Spectacular Wood Trick Gun
This gun was a perfect gift for my challenging husband. It is put tother pretty much by toothpicks! This is perfect for a person who likes to put things together with a challenge. My husband has large fingers but he managed it so can you! It even shoots wood bullets! To this day it’s a real conversation piece. It comes with a detailed instruction booklet. Excellent quality, epic gun when finished and the price point is less than I would have expected for such a great quality wood puzzle. Great for retirees lol

Impressive!
My ninth wood puzzle, second Wood Trick, first toothpick puzzle! I was a bit unsure when starting out with the toothpicks but eventually developed a routine to deal with their use and the occsional stabs and bleeding. Yup, my fingers hurt but the finished model is amazing. At one point I had to use a bandaid to stop bleeding all over the wood and quickly realized that it also provided protection against further stabs so I put some on my other fingers too. The fabric ones work great. As for the toothpicks, I used a small vise grip to insert them and a scrap piece of wood behind the piece to steady it while I pushed the toothpick in. I like the thickness of the plywood since it results in a sturdy substancial model. I quickly abandoned the hobby knife recomendation for trimming the toothpicks in favor of a cuticle cutter. Gets real close to the wood and results in a smooth surface. Down side is that you get the occasional flying cutoff so make sure you have safety eyeware if you go that route. I found the instructions very clear and the parts, mostly fit very well with very little sanding necessary. Expect to invest a lot of time in assembling this puzzle but the finished product is very nice and works exactly as it should. Only thing I would like is a larger piece of wax since I needed it for some of the toothpicks. Luckily I had some left over from other puzzles. I would highly recommend this. Good job Wood Trick.

Worth it
I would give it a 5 star rating but having to use toothpick s instead of metal made it much more difficult untill I figured it out. These are the tools I used which helped alot. Flush cutters to cut the toothpicks and a glass with some water in it so the toothpick ends dont fly everywhere. A block of wood and a nail to hang pictures to press other toothpicks though and to take out if they snap. The small flat head in case you mess up you probably will. A small pair of pliers to help push them through. And a drill bit the size of a toothpick for when you have to push multiple toothpicks through multiple peices just hit each hole with it. Once one toothpick snaps it's hard to fix. I was also sanding down toothpicks and waxing them. And some sand paper to sand the bullets down. Overall it kept me busy for two days and was fun to build. I can't imagine how hard it would of been without the tools I used. Also make sure you follow the directions 100% you will start getting ahead of your self and have to go back. and I added 2 rubber bands to the firing pin and now it shoots over 20 feet make sure you wax the inside up good

So Cool!
I bought this for my sons bday almost year ago, before you judge, he's 15, top of his class, very happy and not one of those crazies. Anyway, the pieces are tiny and very difficult to assemble. He still hasn't finished it. The pieces he has put together are very sturdy and well assembled, this puzzle qill look amazing one day! I like how it has the ability to shoot little wooden bullets, that also have to be assembled. Overall, I would recommend, it is pretty cool to look at!

Intricate and satisfying
The whole thing uses toothpicks (Included) to lock everything together. First wood model I’ve done to use that system, and it was pretty satisfying. After a bit I admit my fingers hurt a little, this is a multi-day puzzle for most folks I’d guess. Took me a good chunk of two, just doing it while watching movies. You do end up with toothpick bits everywhere but all wood models have a lot of spur shavings and whatnot anyway. You will need a sharp hobby knife for like 4-5 steps where you need to leave excess toothpick sticking out, vs just snapping and sanding the toothpick. Directions are extremely detailed and clear, excellent. The WORDS are a so-so machine translation from prob Ukrainian but 99% of the directions are picture only, and even the wonky translation is close enough in the few parts you need it. I should let it be known that I’m not a “gun” guy. But I served in the military and I was surprised that this is a pretty crazy intricate reproduction, down to the ejection port dust cover, etc. Doesn’t “shoot” very far, but I’d guess a few extra rubber band twists or using one or two extra bands (already included) could increase your “muzzle velocity” if that was something you wanted.

Bin begeistert. War nie der Puzzel Typ, aber das hat richtig Spaß gemacht. Steht nun auf einem Regal und sieht top aus. Funktion ist ebenfalls gegeben.

10/10 product this was my first wood model and you don't need a work shop like some of the comments say no all u need is some snips to cut the toothpicks and a nail file. Some parts need a little force to put together but apart for that a great model

What a great kit. My son ordered this and I was skeptical, but I was so impressed after it arrived. The assembly is just the right level of difficulty. The whole design shows a lot of engineering thought, I was so impressed. (As we worked on it, I could easily imagine how something that looked similar to this could be designed poorly and be frustrating and fall apart, but this was so well designed and clever. ) The tolerances are very precise and everything "just fits" in an amazing way.
