Q: Is it possible to play this with 2 players if each person plays two characters?

Probably not. Since each faction/character has its own agenda...they could cause issues if you are controlling multiple. I'd suggest playing this game with at least 4 players...5 for the best time.

Q: How replayable is this after going through the full game? Can you play as another group? Or with other people?

From the research I've done and my recently buying the game, it looks like this game really isn't meant to be replayed. Though I have been known to adjust legacy game rules to make them replayable (like gloomhaven), I think this game is not expensive enough/short enough to really make me want to adjust it. From what I can tell, dropping someone out of the game is easy, but getting a new player half way through requires homebrew rules. But the game has about 25+ hours of gameplay, from what I've seen, and the replayability is fairly low considering that the story is what the real crux of the game is. But some people have figured out how to make it replayable, like using pencils and removing the stickers with the backs on them or laminating them so you can use expo markers or what have you. I don't think for $50 it's worth all that trouble, though, because I've heard the story is only cool if you've never experienced it once before.

No, I don't recommend any players under five to be honest.
