Best Transmission Fluid For Your Ford
Replaced the transmission fluid in my 2009 Ford Escape with two drain and fills using Motorcraft Mercon LV transmission fluid. It's engineered for Ford cars and trucks and keeps them on the road.

Love having a reliable car? Change your fluids.
My transmission oil was brown AF. Since Ford loves not having a drain plug, I used a hand pump to pump the old oil out, and a 2 gallon pump sprayer to pump the new oil in (I cut the tip off the nozzle so oil flows quicker). On my 2011 mustang, I used a 19mm wrench. There was no way for me to fit a socket wrench in there, not enough room. Overall, I'm glad I got it done at 99k miles, the car shifts like new, and hopefully Ford figures out a way to use drain plugs, and stop using the word "lifetime" fluid, absolute nonsense for no reason. Also, don't wait til 150k, the schedule in the service manual seems overly generous.

I have bought MERCON LV multiple times over the past 12 years because I do my own transmission service. On my car its a drain and fill. Pass 15 quarts through it yeah its gonna get clean and cheaper than having it done at the dealership. High quality product great price.
