Viva Doria Green Peppercorns, Whole Green Pepper, Steam Sterilized, 4 oz (85 g) For Grinder Refill

I've been watching Chef Jean Pierre on YouTube and he demonstrated a recipe for Steak Au Poivre. I decided to try to make it for my New Year's Eve celebration dinner. I bought my first filet mignon and all the fixings but I needed green peppercorns not in brine for the sauce. Unable to find them anywhere I found them on Amazon and ordered them. The dinner came out great. The steak was perfect and the sauce made with the green peppercorns was much better than I expected. I am not a big fan of pepper but these green peppercorns were delicious.

+I'm happy with this brand & just ordered more peppercorn varieties. +Sturdy plastic packaging that zippers/seals well and can withstand storage, keeping the peppercorns fresher longer. + Herbaceous, green flavors. I'm always reminded of subtle hints of evergreen along with slightly sweet, fruity flavors. Really lovely! +Much more delicate than spicy hot white peppercorns or the pungent heat of black peppercorns. They are from the same plant as black (white peppercorns too) but, picked at the green, unripe stage giving them their unique flavor. same fruit as black peppercorns, both are from the Piper nigrum plant. A must in my kitchen for cooking, finishing touches & on the dinner table by the common salt & pepper. Recently, I've cut way back on my sodium intake. I'm a salt lover (abuser, lol) so everything tastes so, so bland. I'm not a fan of common black pepper as a major seasoning at the dinner table. +White, green & pink peppercorns are more delicate and adds life back into boring, unsalted dishes without the bite of black pepper taking over. I use many other spices also, I create my own seasoning flavor blend options, put them in shakers to choose from for every meal. I go through a lot, fast as I adjust to replacing salt! I can now say, 3 months later, I'm quite okay without salting the majority of my dishes.

Mild. Nice, with just a touch of heat. One of my friends swears that I need to sprinkle my chicken enchiladas with my green ground pepper like she does. Another friend, a fellow baker, asked me to consider sprinkling some on black olives. We all like these peppercorns. Mine is the only stash so far, so I'm urging my chums to please order their own. For me, this will be on repeat purchase as needed, for sure.

I like fresh ground pepper in my food or when I'm cooking & I thought I'd try something new. It's not bad at all. Definitely something I'd buy again.

These are excellent green peppercorns, fresh and flavorful. The bag is fairly large and will fill my pepper grinder multiple times…and at a great price!

I purchased this green pepper for steak sauce. It turned out Wonderfully. Flavor and scent are so good, and it goes with my steak sauce very good. The way it brings out heat is perfect. Smell so good too!. You can see that I put quite good amount of green pepper; some crashed. Price is reasonable too. I love it!

We've used Spice Way before but these look greener and fresh. Work great in our brass pepper grinder

Glad I could find these online. These taste great! Got the small bag to start out. Likely get the larger bag next time. Must have for any kitchen. Viva Doria is one of my trusted brands BTW

Bought these a year before using, stored cool and dry, then finally got them out. Outstanding quality! Savory and fresh. Its definitely a good size bag for a homeowner, but so inexpensive for top quality, I am delighted with my purchase. Highly recommend.
