Like most other reviewers, we found this chandelier comes in many pieces - it requires some mechanical/electrical skill, of which my husband fortunately has plenty, to assemble. It required two trips to the local store to get extra pieces/wire/cord and a dimmer switch. It took a full afternoon to assemble. It is not real glass - I didn't expect it to be at this price. It's made of the same material as my other Tiffany-LIKE lamps, still very durable and pretty. The cord sent with it needs to be changed to clear instead of the hideous brown it comes with. We purchased a silver/clear cord to replace it. My husband also put in a dimmer switch. Bulbs we used: for parrots: ecosmart 60 watt equivalent B-11 blunt tip dimmable candle medium base clear glass LED vintage Edison lightbulbs. For the bowl: ecosmart equivalent A-19 dimmable frosted glass filament LED Daylight bulbs Both bulbs found at your local big box hardware store. All that aside, it is a beautiful, striking piece. It sits over our dining table and provides the perfect amount of light without being too bright or too dim. I highly recommend the above daylight bulbs to avoid a dull cast. Your choice of light bulbs will make all the difference in how brilliant (or not) the colors are. I love it and so does anyone who comes in and sees it!

Love our 3-Bird set. So much personality and adds so much to our eclectic look. But, whew! What a tough installation for 2 seniors. Over the years we have removed and replaced more lights and ceiling fans than we can count, with little to no issues. Our beloved 3-bird light set was another story. The one sheet of paper that came with the lights did not apply to our light set and what was provided had no pictures to refer to anyway. We spent a lot of time at our local hardware store trying to find items to make it work. We simply dabbed the metal parts we bought with a bronze-colored craft paint so it would blend in with the fixture and that worked perfectly. These are the light bulbs we purchased from Amazon to use inside the birds and they fit and work great, the light produced coming thru the stained glass gives a well-lit area and is soft in color: GEZEE 25W LED Light Bulb, E26 Base LED Lamp, 200 Watt Equivalent, 2500 Lumens, Warm-White 3000K, Non-Dimmable (3-Pack, they are worth the $25 price. The LEDs are cool, long-lasting, energy-efficient, bright, and fit the cavity of the birds perfectly, much, much better than Candelabra bulbs. When the set arrived the black cups that hold the light bulbs were noticeably bent in weird positions, I contacted the seller and they said to simply manually bend the black plastic bulb holder with my hands, with no worries of breakage I did as instructed and sure enough, they easily bent back into the correct position. We had to replace all screws/nuts for mounting and had to add washers and nuts to correct the spacing. It was worth all our efforts, I would suggest to others to hire a professional to deal with the installation.

We purchased a used bird chandelier that unfortunately was missing parts. So sent it back and got a new one which came with everything it was supposed to, and we got it put together and up yesterday. The instructions weren't the best so it took a little knowledge to accomplish. I couldn't be any happier with the installed chandelier. It's beautiful and we will enjoy it for years to come.

The parrots are beautiful. This is actually the second one I purchased. But it takes a lot of prayer and patients to install this light! And I have done hundreds of home projects over the years so this is not for beginners....Directions are worthless...Many extra parts, parts that are male to male connections...no ground wire on the light....wiring is very thin....16 wires you have to connects together. BUT BEAUTIFUL WHEN DONE. And I would buy another one.

This is a very fun chandelier light for our kitchen nook area. We love tropical birds and these guys justs fit in! But I must say it is a lot of pieces and no insturctions!! Very frustrating and makes it a long day of installation. We have installed many light fixtures and chandeliers. Chandeliers are a lot of assembly and it is vital to have good instructions. There are a few youtube demonstrations that were helpful. If you choose to purchase one... Go for it... You will love it. It does take time to get it delivered and the packaging is very good. We had No damage. The stainglass birds are very well made.

Absolutely LOVE this chandelier. I receive so many compliments on it. Unfortunately the first one arrived in pieces, it's not packed very well, and requires complete assembly. The 2nd arrived with no broken glass and will now be treasured for years to come.

For the money it’s worth it. I’m reviewing the 3 parrot version. The instructions were worthless. Just go by the pictures on here. I used a multi meter because the wires were unmarked. Once you have it assembled the best you can you’ll likely realize that it’s missing a $5 part to connect the bottom cover. Just take it to your local lighting supply house and they’ll sell you the right thing. Make sure the bolts are fully threaded before you tighten the nuts. It’s so nice for what it costed that I recommend.

The chandelier is wonderful; the service is terrible. 1 week ago I called the Litfad help number to see about getting assembly instructions that, they said, should be in the package. They weren't. I was given an email to write to for the instructions, and 1 week later still haven't heard anything.

Love, love, love this fun chandelier! However, as other reviewers have mentioned, I would highly recommend getting an electrician to install it. The quality of the metal base and wiring is as one might expect for the price, but the parrots are beautiful. They look and feel like solid workmanship.

On the picture parrots are bigger than the main part. In reality, parrots are smaller and the main stained glass part is big. The light is yellow despite of bright white lamps. We use 6 chandelier type led lamps and two led lamps equivalents to 100 watt lamps. One chain is shorter so it was hard to attach it and it creates some imbalance. However, it is beautiful.

Item received safely, all parts intact. An electrician was hired to install it, but during the install realized that the item had low quality parts and was defective. Seller was difficult to deal with. Refusing to a return/refund unless I removed any negative reviews. Would not recommend Litfad products.
