Best 4 Out Of 5!
Have been using hammer toe pads to keep my toes from curling under for some time now. There are a number of factors that make these toe cushions one of the best ones I've ever gotten.Comfort - Had originally been using the felt type - but found the silicone gel are a lot more flexible and comfortable because they do a better job of conforming to the space between the toes and the sole of the shoe as you walk.Well Designed - These toe cushions come as a pair of left and right pads. Several companies offer a single (straight) cushion that can be used on either left and right feet. It is surprising how that little bit of curvature built into these pads to copy the alignment of the toes improves the way they work. Additionally, the toe loop that holds the cushion in place is sturdy and well built. Some cushions have flimsier loops that wear out and tare off after a short while. These look like they're built to last.Sizing - In much the same way as cushions designed specifically for left or right feet work better than the non-curved variety, so too I have found that cushions that are designed to address shoe (foot) size work a lot better than those that are "one size fits all".It is unfortunate that a size option wasn't offered. If they had, then these would have been some of the best hammer toe cushions available.

Not what I expected
I was looking for some type of support more on the ball of my foot per my dr. This fits in the space between the top of the ball of my foot and the part of my toe that I walk on, while it is soft and comfortable it does not do what I need and will be returning it

Tootsies feelin' good!
No hammer toe problem. From the big toe down to baby toe, toes 3 and 4 are trying to curl under. It actually causes the tops of those two toes to scrape on the ground (sandals), and to be out of position in closed-toe shoes. These definitely hold them straight and very, very comfortable in or out of shoes.

Perfect Answer for Me
Hammer toes developed thru my Teen years. Years later and after some "experimental surgery" they have been forever painful. This situation is complicated because I love, of all activities, walking around. Around cities throughout America, Europe, and Japan in particular. I've discovered that by combining comfort sox by Thorlo, comfort insoles by Spenco, and the "right" shoes...whatever that means to you, I can get thru a day of walking with little-to-minimal pain. Still it's not a perfect situation. Podiatrists still offer similar surgical answers that still require 3-5 weeks of wearing a "boot" during the recovery period which is in my opinion not a guaranteed success. So,When this device turned-up on amazon I thought "what the heck give it a try." Using on the toe pictured but on my left foot. Wear it daily. Rinse off sock lint every so often. Holding up very well. Your question: Does it work? My answer: absolutely, positively...for me. Highly Recommended!

Great idea but not working well for me
This toe pad is not working well for me. I've had an increasingly severe hammer toe condition over the last 8-10 years. At present, my second toe actually rests atop my big toe. No pain, corns or calouses involved, except when wearing "dress" shoes with firm leather uppers, the knuckle on the second toe will rub and blister and/or bleed of not protected with a band-aid, etc. There are some good things to say about the pads: they are comfortable; they might work for someone with a less severe hammer toe than mine. I really want them to work, to the extent that I'm using both pads on one toe, and there seems to be some correction. I'd like to hear from the seller, or from someone who has had success with this item.
