Italian Black Truffle Sea Salt 4 oz. Glass Shaker by San Francisco Salt Company

I purchase the Pink Himalayan Sea Salt from the San Francisco Company on a regular basis, I am very satisfied with the quality for regular purposes, so I decided to try their more adventurous culinary options. The truffle salt didn't disappoint; although the speckles of truffle appear few within the salt, they pack a surprisingly high amount of flavor. It's clearly a finishing salt for people who really enjoy truffle flavor and must be used sparingly. I would almost describe the flavor as too rich, too earthy. This salt elevates the flavor of any egg dish (omelette, scrambled, poached, hard boiled), of the most boring boiled potato or streamed asparagus. Risottos and steaks are brought to another level. The truffle flavor doesn't go away with time, but close the lid tight each time, otherwise the smell will fill your entire spice cabinet. One big fault with this salt it's that no matter how careful I am it gets rock solid. I store it exactly like my other salts, but this one simply clumps immediately. I have to lightly hit it on a wooden board before use to be able to shake some product out. The jar is absolutely great quality, thick glass, perfect finishes. The packaging of the delivery was on point, no chance of breaking the jar in transit.

Purchased this salt after tasting some at a friend's brunch. She had used it in a quiche and we all knew immediately there was a secret ingredient in there! I have used it mostly on veggies as I just recently received my order. Delicious! It adds that little something extra. You can see and smell the bits of truffles but they are not overpowering in taste. I purchased this brand because it is the one my friend had used and I knew I liked it. It is a little more expensive than some others but I do feel it is a good value because it will last for a while. Just be sure to keep your jar tightly closed or your whole spice drawer will smell like truffles!!

I had tried Black Truffle salt and loved it, but wasn't about to drive 2 hours away to get the salt that O was running out of. So I decided to try this brand. If anything. It's better than the first one that I had. It's great on eggs. chicken, pork & beef. Makes even broccoli tastey. Gives just the right touch to soups and stews too. It is very tastey on fish too

I ordered this after hearing from a friend how yummy truffle salt is on fries. Well worth the price if you like truffle flavors. I actually put it on baby potatoes after spraying the potatoes with some oil so the salt will stick. Then I popped the potatoes in my air fryer oven for about 5 minutes to warm them up and they were delicious. I’ve tried the salt just sprinkled on potatoes and the flavor didn’t diffuse as well as the ones that were warmed in the air fryer over. The salt will stick together a little in the bottle. I usually hold it with one hand and tap the glass bottle with the other hand to loosen the salt and control the sprinkled amount. Worked fine for my purposes. Happy with the flavor and the dispenser bottle. Not sure if it’s the best value since I didn’t really shop around for it.

I like this salt and hadn't thought about buying it before but am glad I did get it. Great on meats, soups, fries, etc. I recommend this salt but there are certain foods that it would not be good with, like some pizzas. Try it if you like an unusual savory touch to most foods.

I'm addicted to the taste of this. It goes great on most everything.

Excellent Black Truffle Sea Salt.

I heard about this from one of my favorite YouTubers, Angela Mashelle. Never having experienced anything truffle-esque, I wasn't expecting a lot but was definitely curious. Let me just say what the young folks say...This slaps!!! I tried it on some jasmine rice I had with dinner and fell in love (my salt and I may get married tomorrow, lol)! It has a savory, almost smoky and earthy flavor. There is a depth and richness I didn't expect to find in a seasoning. It's pricey for a small bottle, but truffles are expensive from what I hear and a little goes a long way! Will definitely purchase again!
