This is exactly what it says it is – a decent, dependable place to store up to 12 watches in a no frills, safe location. If you have a watch collection where each piece is $750 to infinity, then you are not looking at a @$25 storage box. This is targeted at those of us with decent watches that didn’t require a mortgage to buy. It is for us modest collectors that are tired of watches on a dresser or side table or that are banging around inside a drawer. We want a reasonable priced storage solution. This fits that bill. Is the fit and finish perfect? Almost (mine anyway). Do the small issues change what the box will do for me? No. Let’s look at the issues I found. First, the restraining strap/fabric for the lid works well enough but when the lid is closed it must fold into the case which will partially cover any watch in that top left slot. For me, no big deal. Next, on the underside of the lid in that lower right corner, the mating of the trim piece is uneven and gives the appearance of a “crack”? I checked, mine is not cracked it just looks that way. Again, no big deal. It is not visible when the lid is closed. Next, the lid’s frame will partially cover any watch placed in one of the four corner positions. That does not matter to me. I didn’t buy this to show off to anyone. The cushion pads are nothing to write home about, but they get the job done. I don’t have any watches larger than 41MM or taller than 13MM so they all comfortably fit inside the case with room to spare. If you have a larger watch than that it still should be perfectly fine. Many have complained about the closure/locking mechanism. I cannot imagine for what purpose there was an included lock, but oh well, it is there. Like me, if it is not useful, don’t use it. The pinch actuators on either side are easy enough to press in and yes, you’ll likely need your other hand to lift the lid. Is that really a big deal? For some I guess it is, but not for me. Those are the only things I can see as possible detractors. The fit and finish of the outer pleather covering is AOK – remember it is an inexpensive watch box. The glass top was flawless. If you have a watch collection like the Dr. Strange character did in the first movie, then this is not for you. This is for your Timex, Citizen, Casio, various Chinese brands, the <$500 Seikos, etc. If the day ever comes that I can drop $1K plus for one of those dream watches I can only fantasize about now, I will upgrade my storage box. For now, this gets the job done.

Using the organizer to store some Nora Flemming pics. It was around half the price of a NF storage box plus it has a latch/lock feature.

Great box! All but one watch I have is solar so I wanted a box with a glass top so they could still collect light. This fit my collection nicely. It was a great price and for the money I paid I don't think anybody that sees it would believe the price. It's very nicely done and looks great sitting out. Will also make putting my collection in the safe much easier. I like regular sized to large watches and have several large faced dive watches and Pathfinders. I got them to all fit fine. Some will touch a tad but not in any way I'm worried about it. For the most part though they are all separate. I really don't need or want a lock so I haven't even tried the key. I'm not betting it would stop much but why would a thief even mess with it? Just pick it up and take the whole thing. The latch is nice and smooth though and I do like that feature for when I pick it up to move it. Overall I am very happy and will buy another when my collection grows. One more spot to fill!

I’m not sure what all the fuss is about, but this is a nice watch organizer. It has a subtle new car smell . The smell is bad and it’s not offensive at all. The scent doesn’t linger or fill the air. I expected it to smell new. It stows my husbands watches nicely . I love the glass top. It give it a more elegant appeal. The white stitching adds a nice touch too. It doesn’t look cheap at all. As for the latch , I don’t have any problems with it. The only time it should be touched is to lift and place a watch or retrieve a watch. The Pilar’s are so nice and I’m happy they came with the organizer . It’s kept in the closet and I don’t need to lock it . I wouldn’t suggest traveling with it, because of the size , the glass and the lock isn’t secure enough for that . If locking up your watches is a concern you may want to look at something different. Perhaps a safe. I gave it 5 stars because of the looks, quality and it has held up to it purpose .
