I found out that black pepper is actually an irritant and cayenne pepper is actually better for you. It's anti inflammatory and is good for blood circulation. I'm switching now and see for myself if it's true.

Reasonable and good.
I am ashamed to admit I didn’t buy this for cooking purposes. We have a terrible time with raccoons, ground ho, squirrels and deer eating our flowers and digging in the planters to find the peanuts they have hidden. As well as raccoons drinking from a table top fountain on our deck. I sprinkle the pepper once a week or so and it keeps them away. This was reasonably priced for my critter keep away needs and it works.
