Great radio for 80s classic cars
Love love love this radio. Looks brilliant in my 1987 BMW M635CSi and has great sound quality too. Only complaint is that incoming phone calls are a little quiet, but that might be sortable in the settings. Really happy with this product. It was relatively easy to fit, but connecting to the original 80s amp was tricky because my old head unit had a 10 pin connector that linked to an 8 pin DIN. I had to get a friend to make me a bespoke connector that linked the car’s 8 pin DIN to the new head unit’s RCA connectors.

Classic looking stereo
If you have a classic car from the 80s this is the stereo to have. looks very period. Plus the modern capabilities of DAB and phone support. Easy to install and set up, highly recommended.

Check the Wiring before fitiing!
Fitted to my 1990 BMW E30. This is a nice little car radio. It really looks the part and works well. It is very short in depth - almost half of that of the one I replaced it with so there is loads of room behind it for the wires. The supplied DAB aerial and Microphone both seem to work well. One word of caution though - the ISO loom that I received with the box had actually been fitted at the factory with the 'ignition live' and 'Antenna Power' cables swapped over and therefore in the wrong place! This caused some head scratching until I cross checked where the actual wire positions should be using the supplied user manual. You need a tiny watchmaker's screwdriver poked into the front side of the connector to remove these so be careful you don't break the connectors. Once I swapped these two connectors over then all was well and everything worked fine. It is very intuitive to use although using the phone book function to search for numbers is hidden a few menus deep and would be quite distracting when driving. However, having said that, you can set up 5 speed dial favourites so that would make things easier. If it wasn't for the wiring issue then I would have given this radio 5 stars.

Throwback and a half !
Really good product, I love the little remote it comes with and the fact you can tweak the back-light to match my cars back-light colour. There's tonnes of features and it's just perfect for the era. Note the wiring that comes with this unit must be done by yourself. Unless you buy a pre made loom. Fitted to my 1995 BMW E34 *note, there is a some movement on the volume knob which is annoying but it works perfectly .

Expensive for what it is.
It's a perfect looking retro style headunit, with the modern features you want, but it's about £150-200 overpriced. It's certainly not the same Blaupunkt quality that we know from the past, build quality is so so, buttons feel cheap to press. I don't think Blaupunkt is the same company anymore. Sound is average, I use the built in amplifier, maybe using an external one things would be improved. I haven't used the USB or SD card input yet, so cant comment on how easy it is to access tracks from those sources. BT and DAB work great. Phone handsfree operates fine, just the answer call and hang up buttons are a little fiddly to find whilst driving. Basically, if you want something that looks right in your 80's or early 90's car with modern features, and you can live with the cheap feel, then this is for you. It does, however, come at a price.

Looks good but very poor build quality
I bought this because of the Blaupunkt brand and difficulty in finding an alternative that looks right in a classic car. However this is not the Blaupunkt quality of the Nineties. Cheap construction, knobs that have no “stops” so position of dials does not reflect actual treble or bass or balance settings. The Bluetooth connection for phone streaming was always unstable but now has failed completely, so that the display suggests the unit is steaming but there is no volume. Overall a horrible, overpriced product, I wish I had returned it.

What I was looking for
I wanted a retro looking headunit with modern features, this stereo is exactly what I wanted, short depth, DAB, Bluetooth streaming, my only criticism is that it is a little cheap feeling which is a shame as Blaupunkt were always renowned for quality, either way I am happy with the purchase especially as on Amazon it was cheaper than everywhere else

Wobbly volume knob (2mm of play up and down!)
I as many before me loved the look and promise of this Blaupunkt retro stereo. The reality of the new quality standards is horrible. Wobbly volume knob and it's a common issue that Blaupunkt know about but still they ship like this. The media cover feels so cheap and has no positive click open or shut. The buttons clack as you push them like a £20 stereo. If you've never used an original Blaupunkt stereo you may not realise just how badly made this unit is. It's definitely worth £80-120 but definitely not the £320 I paid. If you really must have one I'd suggest going to view it in person and see if you can forgive the above issues.

Bardzo fajne radio, dobrze wygląda we wnętrzu z lat osiemdziesiątych i dziewięćdziesiątych, nienajgorsza jakość wykonania.

If you’re looking for a retro style stereo with bluetooth and DAB capabilities, this is perfect. A bit pricey compared to others but the product is well worth it in terms of figment, style, user interphase and esp sound quality. The seller was very efficient. Package arrive overseas earlier than expected. Thanks again!
