Pet MD TopicalShampoo for Dogs, Cats, & Horses- 12 oz

Love this stuff -medicated shampoo- son did an ingredient app on it and it got 97% for not being bad with forever chemicals . We soaked and big rubber bristles brushed a stray cat- and all the other cats- and it got rid of their ringworm. It’s anti fungal and we use it on our corgi once every other month or when he seems extra itchy. It gets rid of his dry ear tips and flakes. It has a nice smell- and it doesn’t cause me reaction from using it on the animals.

This shampoo works so good for our dogs with allergies.

The scent was too much for me. I have smelled worse, but would not order again. Have ordered a different brand that suits my nose better. Need to be mindful that dogs have 20 times as sensitive sense of smell. What are these manufacturers thinking?

For absolutely no reason one of my dogs started to develop a skin condition and it got progressively worse over a few months even though we tried so many products to alleviate it. He started to scratch so much it hurt my heart how miserable he looked. Then he started to develop what almost looked like a chapped neck, so I bought this as a last ditch effort before placing him on one of those side effect ridden prescription drugs from the vet. I have tried medicated shampoos or shampoos for hot spots before and all they did was aggravate his skin and make the itchy spots so bright red it was horrifying. After the first wash with this the itchy spots started to subside. After the second wash the next week (I started off slow because of past experiences with medicated shampoo I was wary) his chapped neck went away completely and thankfully hasn't returned even though we live in Florida and its already hot and he's rolling in dirt and hanging out in the sun. I've already bought a second bottle and plan to buy the big gallon one they offer in the future. Before this giving him a bath was hard because he hates water, but with this he goes right in because he knows it makes the itchy go away. AND he likes to be called a soft boy, cause it smells good and makes him so soft too. Good bonus especially for a medicated shampoo.

I was really pleased with this shampoo. My little dog has allergies that don’t exist in the winter once first frost comes. However, I still wanted to try it on her to see how she would react and if it would be something I would use in rotation. I loved how easy it was to rinse, some shampoos that are medicated I feel like I’m rinsing forever. I always rinse longer than normal just in case but this was definitely a quicker to rinse product. It lathered, but not excessively, which is again great and just as the company claimed. Almost no fragrance (Supposed to be peppermint iirc but it was honestly not truly recognized) that I could detect, which when using a product like this I appreciate.

I prefer the red label version of this product. This one has a very strong peppermint vapor while applying it. It was ok after rinsing it and didn't cause any irritation to my Bella but just when applying it gives this strong smell.

This was purchased for my sisters Maltese. He has many allergies which involve itching, yeast infections, skin redness, odor. When she takes him to the vet it costs $100. for allergy shots which solves the problem temporarily for about a month but is very expensive. This shampoo, when used weekly, solves the problem for her pocketbook and her dogs sensitive skin.

I have used this shampoo twice since receiving it and the difference in my dog is dramatic. I showed it to my vet and she said it was a good product. My dog has some kind of a overall skin condition that had her itching like crazy. The vet did give her a shot of some kind and I've used the shampoo twice and there's no more itching.
