Great Company
This company went above and beyond to make things right when crickets died in cold weather shipping. I will order more pinhead when weather gets better. Tiniest critters ever and perfect for my tiny rescue.

Arrived Alive and Well
Crickets arrived way ahead of schedule. Every cricket arrived alive and well. Perfect and true to size. I ordered during winter season and a warmer was inside of box with crickets keeping them warm on the trip. Will order again in the future.

So frustrating
Wild that these are just loose in a box…..I feared the worst when I opened my mailbox & there was a few crickets in the mail box & on the outside of the box…but assumed maybe some just managed to escape because surely 500 (actually 1000, I bought two sizes) wouldn’t just be out free in a cardboard box. I opened one box first & immediately lost many, because they were in fact, just loose in there. The second box I couldn’t find one live cricket in, it’s just pieces of crickets…with bonus ants!! Really dumbfounded at this though. I had bought crickets before & they were in a small plastic to-go like container inside the box they were shipped in, which makes a lot more sense…easier to contain & keep…but this…the only reason half the crickets didn’t escape is because they’re all dead. Just really confused on how this ever works out for anyone.

Dissatisfied but need them.
Got my small crickets they were alive but I did not receive the 250 I paid for, I received them Oct 6th today is the Oct 13th 8 days and I have fed my baby gecko 8-10 a day 8x10 = 80 crickets I’ve used and I have maybe 10 left so I paid for 250 but actually didn’t even receive 100. . Even though this happened I can not find these tiny crickets anywhere near me so I will be ordering again hopefully I’ll get my 250 this time.

lack of crickets
I've ordered from Josh's Frogs once before for flightless fruit flies, and had issues then. Customer service was quicker to respond than I was expecting but gave no real solution to the issue (they all died in transit and it was obvious the container had been tipped during transit, I was told essentially to wait and see if there was life in the next couple of days and then contact them back if flies / larva didn't appear. They did so I left a review and understand a company can not control how exactly a package is handled in transit). Also for anyone who might not know (as I didn't until customer support contacted me back the next day, if you order flightless fruit flies and the container does tip, rinse the lid or it can suffocate what may still be living in there). Fast forward my froglets are getting bigger, fruit flies would still work but it would take so many and for a short life span I wasn't sure I would have been able to keep them alive (and flightless) long enough for my frogs to go to the next size up for food. They've been doing great with ants I've been setting collection containers out for but as its getting colder outside for me now I knew I was going to need to get something a little more keep able than worker ants gathered from my back yard. I should have read the reviews a bit more on the crickets. Most say they arrive dead or way under the amount that was paid for. I'm happy to report mine did arrive on time and alive. All 40-50 of them out of the 250 I had ordered. Shipping was timely and the box arrived unharmed. We are heading into fall in my state so my crickets were in a mailing tube with a food chunk and some egg crate and this was placed inside a box. I was worried as soon as I opened the shipping tube I was going to be dumping 250 dead pinhead crickets out or they were all going to spring out like one of those snake in a can pranks. Neither of those things happened. Instead I was scanning inside the tube looking for any crickets at all. I knew they would be tiny and I knew they'd most likely be hiding on the under side of the egg crate. I knocked what I could out into a cricket container I bought (not from josh's frogs) and only a few fell out. I removed the egg crate and flipped it thinking it would be swarming with hiding crickets. That also was not the case. When I removed the egg crate and flipped it there only appeared to be 40 or so on it. I set the egg crate in the container and again checked the shipping tube thinking more were hiding on the inside. Nope. So while I have nothing bad to say about this order in the arrival of actual alive food for my frogs, the quantity left something to be desired. At this point I'm honestly researching and strongly considering buying adult crickets from a pet store so they can lay eggs and I can raise them myself for my frogs. I figured the first time was a fluke and the second order would be better. Lesson learned I suppose.

Only
I ordered 250 count 1/8 inch crickets and i got them yesterday. Even though i read alot of reviews and alot of people said theres arrived dead or extremely short of what they ordered. And thought to myself that cant be right the customer had to miscount or underestimating so i ordered some. To my astonishment when i got mine they were all living but i only got 50-75 crickets when i paid for 250.
