GROHE 34143000 Grohtherm 1000 Thermostatic Shower Mixer

This is one of those products which just works and does what it says on the tin. The product is very nicely finished with a genuine feeling of quality. Appearance is a personal thing but I think it looks great and the surface finish is superb. The controls are very smooth and nicely weighted and the click stops do not feel like they'll drop off if pushed a little hard like on some mixers. Temperature control is excellent and the thermostat does its job. Very easy to fit. At the price paid (£100) it is an absolute steal and even at the SRP it would still be a good quality product at a fair price I think. We replaced the original builders fittings with these and they are in a completely different class to the stuff fitted by the house builder which suffered temperature variation (despite being thermostat control) and started shedding bits from the handles after about 6 months. Recommended.

Great service, good product, what a joy to have a hot shower again! Thermostat went in my last fitting just after the 5 year guaranatee ran out.

We'd had a few problems with the shower over the previous 12 months - this was the third valve that we had fitted and I was starting to wonder if there was a problem with the whole installation rather than just rubbish valves. So I was a little nervous as I fitted this GROHE unit - it was much cheaper than some of the previous units that I'd bought in a orange coloured DIY shed but it is a great brand, very well put together and now 12 months later it is still working perfectly. Fitting took minutes - water off, spanner out, old unit off, PTFE tape on the threads and new unit installed and it worked without leaks right away. I still can't quite believe how cheap it was for a premium brand valve - but thanks Amazon, I now have confidence that my shower is going to be hot in the morning!

Excellent shower mixer, easy to fit and looks superb in situ. Also very easy to clean, I just wipe it down with a soft cloth after use and it sparkles. Great reliable brand, this was the first time in over 13 years that my old Grohe 1000 shower needed a small repair but it worked out to be more economical to replace the whole unit with the updated 1000 model. Amazon price & delivery service absolutely brilliant.

A quality product let down by the fittings.I took the supplied fittings to my local plumbers merchant and they couldn't figure it out either.They were able to supply me with a barmixer/ speedfit connection kit which made it all very simple. It's a shame the manufacturers cannot supply similar.

This was a waste of money. (A lot of money)

The main attraction was meant to be the tap's ability to maintain constant water temperature, even when eg other taps are on, but it didn't do that. So, although it looks like an expensive piece of kit it doesn't act like one.

This is a great shower, looks lovely on the wall, is easy to use and the high quality is evident. My plumber fitted it easily and said I'd done well to get it at such a good price (Amazon was most competitive). I can highly recommend - you won't be disappointed.

Produit reçu dans les 24 heures suivant la commande et monté en 10 minutes (y compris le temps de trouver les clés qui vont bien) en remplacement d'un mélangeur. Enfin plus de sautes de température quand quelqu'un ouvre un autre robinet ! En plus, il tient moins de place dans la douche que l'ancien mélangeur et on ne risque pas de le dérégler en l'effleurant, ce qui est très désagréable quand on a la tête pleine de shampoing et qu'on ferme les yeux ! Je n'ai pas constaté de bruit anormal sur ce mitigeur. Mais j'en ai un autre de la même marque (pourtant en haut de gamme à plus de deux fois le prix de celui-ci) qui émet effectivement un léger bruit de vibration interne jusqu'au réglage de la température désirée. Ce n'est pas très dérangeant et je trouve même une utilité au phénomène : tant qu'on entend le bruit, pas la peine de se précipiter sous la douche, elle est trop froide !

Compre este grifo al dañarse otro de marca barata que tenia anteriormente. Siempre habia tenido problemas con la temperatura del agua y estaba convencido que el problema era la distancia con el calentador, pero con este grifo de Grohe la temperatura se ajusta en pocos segundos y ya no varia en ningun momento durante toda la duracion de la ducha, aunque se abran otros grifos en la casa. El mando de la temperatura es muy suave y responde suavemente a las variaciones, y el del caudal del agua tiene un bloqueo para usar menos agua, lo que ha hecho que mi ultima factura del agua fuera mucho mas barata. Por acabar tambien decir que es muy facil de limpiar y despues de unos cuantos meses de uso aun parece nuevo con simplemente pasarle un paño seco al final de la ducha.

L'ho comprato perché il precedente si era incrostato con il calcare e non regolava più l'acqua calda (quindi veniva fredda). Funziona perfettamente, l'acqua scende calda al punto giusto e non devo continuare a regolare come con i vecchi miscelatori a seconda di quanto sta venendo calda l'acqua dalla caldaia. Prodotto valido, peccato che il precedente è durato 4 anni prima di bloccarsi causa calcare. Probabilmente pulendolo tornerà a funzionare anche il vecchio.

J'ai choisi ce thermostatique car les modèle dits "1er prix" ne sont que légèrement moins chers. Je compte conserver celui-ci longtemps, c'est pour ça que j'ai choisi cette marque. Autour de chez moi, dans les magasins de robinetterie, ce même modèle ressort à plus de 270€... Ici, pour même pas 130€ (soit moins de la moitié), on a le même produit, qui provient de la même usine. Pourquoi se priver. Installation en 5 minutes. On retrouve les joies d'une douche stable en température quelque soit le débit demandé (quasiment dés l'ouverture du robinet). Je l'utilise avec une chaudière qui produit l'eau chaude en direct. Livraison rapide malgré une commande en période de fêtes, Parfait.
