KordonAmQuel Plus Pond Water Conditioner Concentrated - Quickly Detoxifies Ammonia, Nitrites & Nitrates; Instant Chlorine & Chloramines Remover, 1-Gallon

I have recently started using Amquel plus pond when doing my partial water change. I use it in conjunction with my Novaqua as an extra precaution.I am doing less partial water changes and the smaller koi seem to be growing faster than normal. (perhaps because it detoxifies toxic pheromones.)

I have used this pond product, Pond Amquel Plus, in the past and this recent purchase is not what it is supposed to be. The label reads that it will treat 15,360 gallons, yet dosing instructions read that to detox 1mg/L, use 1 cup for 480 gallons. Last I checked there were still 16 cups in a gallon which means this product will only treat half or 7,680 gallons. That makes it less effective than other non-pond Amquel products that actually detox more (example 2mg/L for regular Amquel Plus). Waiting to hear from Kordon for explanation, because something is wrong with this product and I don't want to put my pond at risk by over/under dosing! Also, don't buy if you think you're getting a bargain buying the "pond" version.

Does a great job of bringing ammonia spikes down in an emergency. Much more concentrated than regular Amquel.

Apparently in Fairfax county VA they flush the water lines every year with Lots of ammonia. Almost killed all our KOI before we figured it out.
