In California's Zone 9, I start my summer seedlings in early February. This pad worked wonderfully & gave me a solid start on this year's garden. I'll likely buy a couple more of these at some point.

Fast delivery and works great. Has a very strong plastic smell that took about a week to off gas.

Used this for my seeds, they grew amazingly well! The warmth was soft and just enough for my seedlings to sprout.

Terrific product and built well. My fault, I didn’t check to see if they could be used for human cloning, and they can’t. I started seeds instead, and it performed admirably.

Was excited to get the heating mat. Hooked it up as soon as I got it. Heres what I observed.1. The external dimensions of the mat is as specified.2. However, the heating element is only spread over 11.5" x7.5"3. Room temp hovered around 22 deg C.4. Placed the mat under a colorless plastic trough +1/2" water + grodan cube. Measured the temp in the grodan with probe inside it.Temp was only 25.1 C. I observed previously it had gone up to about 26 C also. This appears to be the max it will go over a 2 day period.5. This max temp attainable by the mat ( 26 C) is totally insufficient for most seeds. Only lettuces ,spinach etc will work within this temp range.Manufacturer claims that the mat will raise the temp of the seeds by 10-20 deg F above room temp. To achieve the min 10 F( assuming room temp 22 C=71.6 F),the mat should be able to raise temp to 71.6+10 = 81.6 F= 27.55 C. The max I obtained was 26 C.I also measured the temp rise on the area without the heating element. This temp was about 40 C. So the mat can reach temp as high as40 C without anything on top of it. But this vitiates the purpose of the heating mat as there is always a water reservoir contained in someplastic material and the seeds in grodan or similar material.6. I bought 2 mats hoping to use it with multiple seeds. Besides it is just a heating element without a control mechanism. But the product totallydisappointed me. Looking to return the second one if it is cost effective.7. Won't recommend others to buy UNLESS you want this particular temp range, ie max temp =25-26deg C at seedlings.8. Ordered from Amazon a Thermostat heat controller to use with it to control the temps. Guess I won't need it now.9. I have no experience with any other heating mats as this was my very first purchase of one. Going to research mats which specifically will beable to go up to about 30-35 deg C without a problem.10. Had to buy a thermometer that could send alarms to my phone to monitor temp and turn the mat on and off as required. Big draw back in design.

At 2 for under $25, these are good. Standard size makes them work well with current equipment.
