After struggling for weeks with a cheaper pressure monitor that was really difficult to get the cuff correctly positioned I decided to spend on a model that is used by health professionals. So much simpler to position the pre-shaped cuff with a wide tolerance for mis-positioning. Inflates progressively with minimal noise. Has memories for 2 users and transfers readings to phone app without any fuss. The reading history can easily be transferred to your medical practice. There are warnings for irregular heart beats and atrial fibrillation as well as high/low pressure levels. The app can record weight and activity levels if used with other Omron products. The unit automatically powers off a couple of minutes after the reading, it can be set to take sequential readings 30 seconds apart. All in all a simple to use versatile meter whose use doesn't add any additional stress to taking readings. Worth paying the higher price for the convenience.

I bought this device after the good Doctor told me to monitor my blood pressure. Omron are the go to manufacturer and is the brand also used by my GP (and most hospitals). The screen is bright, clear and easy to read. The arm cuff is sturdy making it easy to go on and place correctly on the arm. In fact the machine monitors if you have the correct placement. One feature I wanted, and another reason why I bought this specific device type out of the many that Omron produce, was the ability to connect it to a mobile phone via bluetooth and the Omron connect app. This allows you to transfer your blood pressure history to the app. Once you have done this, you can view the entire history as well as create and email a report - which you can subsequently email or print to show to your Doctor. In fact my Doctor was so impressed he thought that I had paid for the report via a private clinic. The device can support two profiles (people). My wife and I, therefore, can separately monitor and record the history - and connect to it on our separate phones. In reading other reviews, I notice that people have difficulty with connecting to the device via bluetooth as well as the app functionality. My wife and I have never encountered any problems. Omron did update the app which could have gone better but outside of this, the pairing and app usage has not been an issue. So, all in all, I'm very pleased with the device. Omron is a trusted brand which is the main reason I purchased this device and the app and reporting is extremely well done.

Hello, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the Omron X4 smart automatic upper arm blood pressure monitor. It is, without a doubt, one of the best machines I have ever tried. The free smartphone app that accompanies it is a brilliant addition, making the whole experience even more seamless. The device works flawlessly, transferring readings straight to the app, which allows me to easily keep track of my daily blood pressure and more. I am absolutely thrilled with the Omron device, and to top it off, I bought one for my 75-year-old mother as well. She is equally pleased, as it gives her the ability to monitor her health daily with ease. I needed a new blood pressure monitor to replace my old one which is now 20+ years old. I wanted another Omron as the brand has proved accurate and reliable over the time I’ve used it, and I thought that the additional functionality of being able to upload the results to an app on my phone would be useful for when I need to send the results to the doctor. I haven’t been disappointed with the monitor. The new cuff design is easy to position correctly and use. The display is large, clear and easy to read. The instrument is accurate when I’ve been able to cross reference it with the doctor’s monitor. I downloaded the app with the intention of being able to graph my results. The instructions the app gives you are different from the instructions that come with the device. So after some confusion, I had to use the American instructions instead of the UK ones. I wasn’t happy about this because the interface of the American app is crap compared with what the UK one was supposed to look like. On top of that, I found that I had to register with an American website and that my results would be stored on their cloud, not on my phone. Didn’t fancy sharing my medical details with god knows who, so I deleted the app, and now just use the monitor normally. If you have privacy concerns over sharing your personal medical data with an American company, save a few quid and buy the standard version rather than the Bluetooth one. I certainly regret wasting the extra for the Bluetooth function that I now won’t use. I also with that the cuff hose could be detached from the monitor for storage like my old one. Other than that, I would !highly recommend the product.

Bought as doctors needed twice daily blood pressure readings for a week and rushing about trying to use one in the doctored surgery wasn’t on. Very easy to set up, with the provided batteries (4 x AA) Collar is very stiff and can make you feel that your arms going to pop off while the thing pumps up. To get the best out of this device you really need the app, which is spot on as it records your readings, sets reminders for readings and is really a doddle to use. When not in use it packs away in the provided zip bag, which is a welcome freebie

Me sorprendió lo fácil que es de usar. Lo compré porque mi médico me recomendó llevar un control más regular de la tensión, y este modelo de OMRON me pareció muy completo. Solo hay que colocarse el brazalete, darle al botón y en unos segundos tienes el resultado. Nada de complicaciones 🙌 La conexión con el móvil funciona bien, y la app guarda todo el historial, así que no tengo que estar anotando nada a mano. La pantalla es grande y se ve bien, incluso para mi madre que lo usa también de vez en cuando. Y el brazalete es cómodo, no aprieta demasiado ni molesta. En resumen, un buen aparato, se nota que está bien hecho y da confianza. Muy contento con la compra 😊

De huisarts leent Omrom bloeddrukmeters uit om een serie metingen te doen, maar het is gemakkelijker er eentje zelf te hebben en deze is dan geweldig. De bloedrukmeter kan zelf twee gebruikers bijhouden, de app maakt er een grafiek van en berekent het gemiddelde, dus handig om te zien of je bloeddruk op peil blijft. Topapparaat.

Absolutely fantastic blood pressure machine.

My earlier Omron has served me well for about 40 years. However checking against doctors device it was shown to reading low. Perhaps more that 40 years use is too much. The new unit agrees with the doctor and is easy to use. Having a recording mechanism for two people makes it convenient to see if there are any changes for either of us. Easy to use and read.
